We have long wanted to transit the Panama Canal and the start of Regent's latest grand dame's career was the ideal opportunity. We left a wet and cold UK to find much the same in LA. We chose this cruise for several reasons. The Panama Canal crossing was of interest as was the embarkation city of Miami. Embarkation was seamless and disembarkation was also complaint free.
