We chose this cruise line and ship as we had done two other regent cruises before and liked them very much. We want to be loyal and also know what we are getting for our money. Unfortunately we got surprises that underwhelmed us rather than brought us joy and delight.
we were in a very expensive suite a Splendour Suite, the bed was fabulous, great bathroom and lounge room with desk table and ...
We have been sailing with Regent for close to 20 years. It appears Regent is in a slow decline and is becoming more like its bigger ships in the Norwegian cruise company.
This last cruise is the first time I noticed food was being reheated from previous days. Normally their leek tart is fresh and creamy with a flakey crust. On several occasions the tart was clearly reheated and the crust ...
Myself and friends chose Regent cruise because we were past Radisson-Regent passengers. always wanted to go to Baltic but now no St.Petersburg (not Regents fault). However right before cruise Regent cancelled Gdansk, which was a highlight. We were never told why but other cruise lines went.
First major caveat - the wi-fi was a big problem with with the premium package - numerous cut ...
This was a memorial cruise following the deaths of both of our parents. I went with my sister, brother and his wife. We paid $40,000 for the two cabins on the Regent SS Voyager for the trip from Barcelona to Lisbon. June 25 to July 2, 2023. It was not the top quality we had paid for. It was quite disappointing
1. Lack of communications and zero organization regarding flight check ins and ...
We boarded Voyager in Barcelona (Tarragona) on 25 June and continued through to Southampton on 17 July. For us it was a wonderful cruise, our third on Regent and second on Voyager, though we also sail on Seabourn and enjoy river cruising on Scenic. The crew were fantastic as always on Regent and the food was some of the best we have had. We like Voyager and think she is in great shape. ...
We have travelled many times with Regent, we have been on all their ships except for Grandeur. We picked this trip for the itinerary alone and were a little apprehensive having more recently sailed on Splendor and Explorer, that Navigator would seem too small now and a little lacking without the fabulous Pacific Rim or the French restaurant. We need not have worried.
What Navigator might lack ...
Great 10 night cruise through the Med.
Pros : Food is excellent, specially the compass rose.
Service is where regent excels, just outstanding.
Great excursions
Bar and beverage options are really good, high quality and plentiful.
Ships clientele is really interesting
Small ship, so entertainment is pretty limited but ...
We have gone on many cruises over the years but mostly on the main stream ships (HAL, Royal, Celebrity, etc.). Last year we tried Azamara for the smaller ship experience and loved it. So this year we thought we’d try the more upscale luxury lines and see how they stack up and how we like them. So we started with the Seabourn Ovation back in March and loved it and didn't think anyone could beat it. ...
We are retired couple who have traveled all over the world, we wanted to try one of the upscale cruise lines as we have been unhappy with most of the gigantic ship lines.
We got the penthouse suite which is only like the 3 category up and it was fabulous, plenty of room, walk in closest, large balcony.
People say the rooms are old but everything looked immaculate to us and perfect working ...
My wife and I are cruisers of 20 years and this was our first time on Regent. We chose back-to-back cruises in the Eastern Med in a Mariner suite and we were extremely disappointed by our experience. The ship, the dining, the entertainment were all painfully average, but the trip was totally marred by housekeeping issues. A stain on a sheet on the first night was changed quickly and efficiently. ...
