Discovery Princess- great experience!

Review for Discovery Princess to Alaska

We chose this cruise for the itinerary. two of my friends who went with me were brand new cruisers. I have been on the Grand, Star, Coral, Pacific, Sapphire, and Emerald. This ship has the nicest layout and space. Embarkation: Very smooth- ours went a bit quicker due to elite status. However, make sure you do all required paperwork prior to cruise. The Medallion app is a little tricky with ...

Truly a "Majestic" experience!

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

My in-laws planned and purchased this cruise for our family, and it was the first cruise for four of the six of us. I really wasn't sure if I was a "cruise person," but after this trip, I want to come back for more! Everything about this ship and the cruise itself was delightful (minus the internet glitches), and I mean EVERYTHING -- food, beverages, entertainment, education/learning ...

The "rusted" Crown

Had somewhat chosen this cruise as a last minute adventure, as some much needed work was being done in our condo that made it required to find a quick and easy getaway. And we figured as we are top tier status with Princess (Elite/Platinum) we had high expectations as we had frequently travelled with Princess. But sadly we were very wrong, as the Crown Princess is in serious need of not only some ...

Review for Ruby Princess to Alaska

We were excited to go back to Alaska and visit new ports. Icy Straight Point was a great place. We loved being able to walk through the forest up to the shopping. Prince Rupert was OK - not really anything to do if you don't take an excursion. If they want to make this a more permanent port they need to put in more tourist shops. But the Fire Dept Museum and nice and I was able to get a ...

We had so much fun taking Princess North to Alaska again. Star, Grand, now the Ruby has taken us to visit popular ports of call in Alaska. Due to covid our ship was not full. Almost full but not entirely. Sailing 07/22. I am not sure if capacity was limited due to staff availability or simply not enough staff ready to get to full levels. My DW and I are vaccinated (not boosted). We got vaccinated ...

We had a great cruise

Review for Coral Princess to Australia & New Zealand

Right from the start our cruise got off to a wonderful start: The new Brisbane Cruise Terminal works well as the whole process from arrival to being on board having a delicious lunch in the dining room only took 30 minutes. The ship is in impressive condition given that it is 20 years old. The decore was very much to our liking. It is an elegant ship with staff keeping it in sparkling condition. ...

Visiting Alaska a great trip, good friends, average ship...

My wife and I really enjoy cruising. We have done this itinerary in 2008 and joined friends again. We did 4 days into Alaska staying at the Princess lodges around Denali which are very nice. Take the train (Princess sightseeing car) from Denali to Whitter and board the ship. The ship is older and dated, worn. the service is very good , food is very good, dining offerings are very ...

Itinerary picked for bucket list excursions but we missed them all! The Cruise from Hell!

Having visited Alaska a few times this itinerary was chosen for the ports of call and also for excursions to Endicott Arm/Dawes Glacier and Train in Skagway. This my first trip using the Medallion and it seemed that despite having everything pre-load before arriving at the port, it still meant checking everything over about 3 separate times. Boarding was long, tedious and absolutely chaotic. ...

Beautiful New Ship

We selected this cruise because the Discovery is a new ship, and it visited Endicott Glacier which is a glacier we had never been to previously. We also liked the Skagway stop because this time we were finally going on the scenic railway ride to the Yukon. However, due to ice and fog, the glacier visit, and tour were cancelled. Skagway was also cancelled because of a rockslide in Skagway. ...

An honest cruise

Review for Caribbean Princess to Canada & New England

I have chose this cruise for two reasons: first, the cruise ends in Quebec city, my hometown, second, I wished to try a princess cruise. Usually, I cruise on Royal Caribbean, Cunard, Celebrity and Norwegian and when I analyze and compare this cruise, it is always with the cruises I have done on these other cruise companies. In general, it was a good and honest cruise. This means that everything ...
