What a rude staff with zero passion. They constantly seemed bothered by questions or assisting staff. The activities were very cheap and boring and they didn’t even have enough seats in the theater so people were standing on the side. The food is recycled multiple times and lack flavor. Very depressing 7 days that I used up as my “vacation”. They charged for every little dumb thing, like pizza room service has a charge and you spend $30 on bingo card but have to bring your own pen or buy a marker. What!? When the bathroom floor got wet this black “mold” came out of the door entrance. The gym had cheap equipment and most of it faulty. The hot tubs were barely working, barely lukewarm, and weak jets. It was like sitting in a puddle. I would never recommend this cruise ship to my friends or family, so upsetting! Read Less

We were excited about a trip to Greenland with Princess. We had not sailed with Princess in a number of years, last trip was on the Star Princess from Italy to the Greek Isles. Princess has cut expenses in every category. The experience was very mediocre. Cabin very small, shower for midgets, food that tasted like it came from Cracker Barrel, waiting 2 1/2 hours to get a tender to shore, another hour to get back on board, no port talks, 1 hour pre arrival time to get a seat for the show in the theater, very little to do other then spend money at the casino or cheap gift shops. I could go on but this is certainly enough for you to reconsider booking with Princess. Most fellow passengers were very experienced travers and expressed the same concerns. The trip to Greenland was the draw. Good bye Princess, this was such a subpar experience I am not willing to take another chance with your Cruse Line. Read Less

People spitting on floor whilst sitting in spa, people spitting on carpet in marketplace buffet, people blowing snot from nose and spitting in hand basin that you are expected to wash hands in prior to entering food court, Casino door continually left open and smoke streaming out into main atrium, children allowed to run riot on dance floor after 10pm. Princess usually has dress standards for dining rooms. None applied on this cruise, you could wear singlet top basket ball shorts and slip on sandals, jeans T-shirt’s and you’d be allowed in. We ended up staying away from pool and spa as we couldn’t stomach the snorting and spitting, it made our stomach turn. We spent majority of time in our cabin watching movies. We ate in the dining rooms onboard 5 times and each time the food was luke warm/cold. The staff were doing the best they could with the circumstances they had to deal with. Marketplace Buffet had a huge variety of food choices but trying to get a seat after you had selected your food was a challenge. Some passengers refused to share tables and made it very had for the staff. The amount of food left on peoples plates was terrible to see. We were in cabin E416, our Steward Rommel was amazing, he actually made our cruise. Princess is very lucky to have him he went over and above in every aspect of looking after us. We had evening room service twice as we couldn't face the thought of the catastrophe that was the dining rooms. It was excellent, best meals on the ship. The coffee shop on level 5 was very good, the food was always hot and the staff were exceptional in their service and care. Come back new??? Not us we came back discussed, frustrated, angry, annoyed, disappointed, mortified and concerned, as we’d already booked and paid for cruise with Princess in December. Fingers crossed, with saying that we must say that in the many cruises we have done with Princess we have never had one complaint or issue, service standards have always been well beyond our expectations. . This was our 18th cruise, our 11th with Princess. We were very disappointed with the way Princess's service levels have fallen since our first trip with them in 2001. The crew were at best inattentive, and often just plain nasty. Our cabin had an inoperable balcony door, a broken safe, and what appeared to be semen stains on the sofa in our mini-suite when we got on board. During the week, several times we found dark black hairs in our sink and/or bathtub after the cabin was "cleaned" by our cabin steward, Rolando. My wife's hair is light blond, and mine is gray/white, so it sure wasn't ours! My wife has a severe seafood allergy, which we reported when we booked. When we got on board, we had a note to contact the Maitre-de to go over the allergy. We called, got no answer. In fact in the 8 days of our cruise, the only time we saw him was when he walked thru the dining room with his nose up in the air. We dealt with his assistant, for a few days, who then had HIS subordinate deal with us. This lack of continuity in dealing with what could be a life-threatening allergic reaction did nothing to instill confidence. My recommendation would be to definitely skip this cruise (Shangahi start/finish with 4 port stops in Japan). The Japanese port stops were great, but otherwise, this was a major and expensive disappointment. We intend not to sail with Princess again on ANY itinerary. There are too many better cruise lines out there. Read Less

This was one of the very first cruises my husband and I ever did. We had such great memories of it that we wanted to do it again. Unfortunately, now that we have over 15 cruises with various cruise lines under our belt, Princess has lost some of her luster. This was a land-sea tour and the land part was great, although some of the Princess lodges along the way are in need of new mattresses and updating. The excursions were outstanding with the best being the jet-boating up Devil's Canyon to a Category 5 rapid out of Talkeetna at the McKinley Lodge. The cruise part of the tour was rather a let down. The ship was nice, the excursions continued to be good, but Princess left a lot to be desired. Making a buck every way possible has become more important than customer/passenger service. They nickel and dime you for all it's worth. Water in your stateroom and elsewhere is $2.00 a bottle. The only drinks provided with meals are water, tea, or coffee. You can not leave your stateroom without being accosted by a photographer trying to document... and sell back to you,,,your every move. There is a Princess Shopping Concierge who gives a daily lecture on what jewelry to buy in the next port and the daily Princess Paper contains a daily Shopping Spotlight Newsletter and map showing you the location of her highlighted stores. This is what Princess now does well- bringing in the money. The shows were mediocre. The food was mediocre- in all restaurants. They offer Anytime Dining when you can go to eat any time you desire- not just at the 2 traditional seatings. When signing up, it sounds as though you can eat at any restaurant, including the Traditional one. This is not true. You are limited to only two separate restaurants- the Bernini and the Donatello with the Donatello available only after 7:30. Can't even think of one memorable meal we ate! All and all- this was one of the worst cruises we'd been on. By time you were done with this cruise, it probably would have been cheaper going on an all-inclusive cruise. Very disappointed in Princess! Read Less

I only chose this cruise for the itinerary, almost everything about the cruise experience was sub-standard, frustrating, and it did not come close to meeting my expectations. So disappointed. Balcony room on the baja deck was near back of ship; the room smelled!!!! it was also filthy, including bugs in the drawers and dust everywhere, also varnish all peeled from railing on balcony and rust everywhere.. Took 2 days to get moved and the new room at least smelled ok but was still dusty throughout, Not pleasant for someone with allergies. in new room we found children's sandals under the bed, toenail clippings on the floor (took them a week to vacuum them). Everything was an up charge, the coffee was horrible, and the ice tea was mostly water. the food was mostly bland and tasteless The only [and I do mean only] bright spot on this cruise was the service of the acupuncturist from the spa. Although quite expensive I feel she was worth every bit. Shopping was a joke, and the entertainment was exceptionally bad or nonexistent. Princess cruises; you have lost a customer for life with this cruise. Money down the drain Read Less

The food was unbelievably bad. Even the Italian specialty restaurant was the worst Italian food I have ever had. The buffet was seriously worse than and American chain buffet venue. If you like selections such as sliced carrots with peas, this might just be the place for you. If you want something more inspiring, you are in the wrong place. The pizza restaurant on Deck 5 is excellent and the hamburgers on the pool deck are good, but those were the only bright spots where food is concerned. Stateroom was large and in very nice condition, but the balcony was in old, poor condition and the balcony furniture should have been replaced a long time ago. One day the bath water was DARK BROWN. Not a little, but A LOT. The front desk staff told me not to worry about it but that I should run the bathroom water form a couple of minutes before drinking. Yuk. Service was hit and miss, mostly miss. some staff members are friendly and helpful, but most seemed to have poor, or disinterested attitudes. We found ourselves being practically being pushed around by staff members in the buffet area. They always wanted us to get out of their way and almost never said "excuse me" or "thank you". One disappointment with the ship is that it does not have any indoor venue with a panoramic view. Every other ship I have been on has a lounge in the front of the ship, on a higher floor which is wonderful for taking in the scenery while cruising. This ship had nothing of the sort, no place indoors where you can see both sides of the ship from one location. This is especially important on inside passage cruises. Read Less

Toilet didn’t work correctly for 7 days, extremely loud fan blowing outside door for 4 days, severe vibration for 2 days. We tried every day to get these problems solved and it never happened. Staff that took care of the room were great and did try to help. Service manager sarcastic response. Shipboard entertainment was average. Food in the dining room was average but service was great. Ship stops were appropriate. Glacier Bay was spectacular. We found tours purchased off the ship were less expensive. On board shops were appropriate with fair pricing. Embarkation and debarkation were well handled well. This cruise provided a lot of inboard activity which was appropriate for all ages. We ate in all three dining rooms, the food was average. We could make dinner reservations which we liked. Wait staff was great. The stress of wondering if the toilet would work and trying to get it fixed was a daily battle. Read Less

Only ate in main restaurant four times as was put off by the chicken drumsticks chips and gravy, hardly a la carte. Buffet curry eggs and onion rice for breakfast or full English dripping in fat. cruised many times before and have never had to leave a bad review .you need a new cruise director as his vision of good entertainment is perhaps suited for an old peoples home at best.Kids club was a joke and they wanted $25 to ice a cake where as on all other cruises this would have been free . We have sailed with Princess a number of times, but had a very bad experience two years ago. We decided to give them another chance as the itinerary appealed to us. We won’t travel with them again, and our fellow passengers that we spoke with also felt very let down. Their cost cutting attempts affect all parts of the overall experience from having nothing to stir your coffee with, to reducing time in key ports at the last minute - just speed up and stop trying to save money on the fuel!!! Princess’ biggest issue is the fact they never accept responsibility for their actions, they lie, offer up pathetic excuses and blame the passengers. The reason it took 2 hours to disembark at Newport - because we all decided to get off the ship at the same time!!! The reason we had such a ridiculously long queue at Boston - that’s right, our fault for wanting to make the most of our short time there! We paid over £3k each for a mini suite but it took 36 hours and 3 phone calls to get our shower fixed. 24 hours to get water delivered that we had already paid for prior to the cruise. Vegetarians are not catered for (unless you want to live on salad), food labelling is dangerously bad and food is always cold. I’ve never seen food temperatures taken. General staff like room stewards are as nice as ever, but everyone else in what may be considered a more senior position are rude, unhelpful and critical of their guests referring to them as ‘idiots’. The entertainment is worse than 1960’s Butlins, but then the cruise director and ents team behave like that’s where they all came from. My advice - Celebrity or Royal Caribbean will value you much much more and understand the importance of good customer service. Read Less

We paid for a large suite and were extremely disappointed, as all advertising material said that in Club Class we would enjoy an upscale menu. All regular dinning venues had through the ship had the menu, but we were offered ONE additional appetizer & entree per night. Could not believe that when ever the ship was docked all dinning venues are closed with the exception of the buffet We did not take a large suite to go to the buffet I will say the food & service were fine We were only able to get seats to one show in 13 nights by cutting dinner short, everyone was complaining. The theater is too small Tendering was a joke, people were going crazy trying to get off We were supposed to spend a whole day in Quebec City, but one night received a notice that the water authority issued an order that everyone must go slower so we wouldn't arrive until 12PM. They must have gotten several hundred complaints as two days later the authority miraculously changed its mind so we could speed up and arrive at our 9AM scheduled time. But we didn't seem to be going any faster The crew were just not attentive or well trained Not the best cruise we have been on Read Less

I took this cruise because of the itinerary. I have been on Princess cruises before but I doubt I will sail on Princess again. They have cut corners so it isn't the joy of cruising it use to be. The food is very low quality. The steak knifes couldn't even cut the steak. The food selections were unappetizing. Dinner in the dining room took 2 hours very night and we would have to leave before dsssert to see the show. The waiters were working very hard but there were not enough waiters They had to many tables to cover. If you ordered a drink, you never got it before the food arrived. There was no music around the ship. There use to be music in the lounges for cocktail time. The port tendering was a joke. Waiting 1 1/2 hours to get to shore. You never knew where the gangway was to get off. Then you had to walk half a mile to get off. What happened to the on and off gangways?? The entertainment was good. BUT the most spectacular show broke down in the middle and we didn't see the whole thing. Said they would show it the next day but didn't. We got off the ship to take the hop on-hop off bus to find out that it was being charged to our ship. Which means we paid $40 more than just getting on the bus ourselves. The tour we wanted from the ship was filled before getting on the ship. Most everything that we enjoyed from cruising has changed. Now it is just move the people along. So many people were saying the same things. It would be nice to think these reviews would help, but I doubt they will. Read Less

The entertainment was terrible. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. The wait staff were excellent. Some even remembered our names. The price you pay for this cruise is too much for what you get. The entertainment was the same people all the time in different places and times. The one singer was horrible. I had to leave until he was done. Some of the staff even said he was terrible. In the mini suite we had one bed for 3 people and a sofa bed that was like sleeping on a metal frame. Very uncomfortable. I said something about it. Nothing was done, except to not open the sofa bed and have me sleep on the couch. I would NEVER take a Princess cruise again. I was so disappointed. Have sailed on Princess many times. This will for sure be the last one. From the embarkation, to debarkation, the entire experience was miserable, rude, and a complete joke. By second day you could only shake your head and laugh at Princess and how bad they are operating today versus where they were 23 years ago when we first sailed their line. The ship was dirty. The hallways were filthy. The carpeting was filthy. There was debris and dirt, with plenty of dust in our room. The ship was understaffed. Lines everywhere for everything. Several times not able to accommodate any time diners. Waited up to an hour for seating. Children attending the wine tasting events and screaming babies during the wine tasting events...Children running up and down the hallways all hours of the night banging on doors and screaming. The spa not honoring reservation times confirmed in writing by Princess 90 days in advance. Double booking of event locations for different events at the same time. Captains party and Trivia booked at the same location for the same time...Do they not have a calendar they use for scheduling events? Waited in line for 2 plus hours to get disembarkation tickets in Juneau. Princess had one person work the disembarkation table. Never saw many pissed off people and never experienced so much open sarcasm and criticism of Princess staff by customers like we did on this cruise. And the casino is a complete rip off too...never saw a single jackpot paid to anyone in the casino for 10 days. Many people complaining about that too. Complete waste of money, time and a completely miserable experience. Will never sail another Princess Cruise again... Read Less

Wow. Horrible. Bad food, bad service as a simple summary. Lots of whales sighted though (both at sea and at the buffet). Comically bad waiters sticking our menus into our food. Several meals in the dining room were not really edible so had to chase that meal with a visit to the buffet in the hopes of something better than “hot dog pineapple salad”. (No, I didn’t make that up). The on-board naturalist also stated (amongst many other oddities) that Canada doesn’t have any glaciers. That was said while we were actually looking at a glacier in Canada. The beds were very saggy due to the many “girthy” guests that preceded us. The mini putt and kids’ centres were closed each of the 5+ times we tried to go into them. The list goes on but I’m out of room. Scenery was great but with 5 cruise ships in port simultaneously the small towns were overrun and it was horrible on shore. Won’t be back. Read Less

Never have we cruised with Princess before, and believe me we will never cruise with them again. We had the understanding that this ship had very recently been refurbished. Once in board, we saw little evidence of this. The ship is very OLD AND TIRED. Dining on board was not good. We ate in the main dining with a 7:30 seating. We had a large group of 14 and had thought we could all sit together. This was not the case. We were sitting by each other, but at 2 separate tables. The head server would “suggest” his picks for dinners, which he would add that the picks were not good. We had 2 formal nights. Having read the required attire we do not remember the mention of NO shorts for men. The first formal night 2 men of our group had nice linen shorts. We had the exchange of words with the head guy and finally sat. The 2nd formal night one of our group only had shorts with him, he was not permitted to enter for dinner. The cabins were small although clean. Our group ended up sitting in the back of the boat on the sea day. We never did see anyone to serve drinks The boat itself had a lack of bathrooms. The one women’s bathroom by the main dining room only had one of the toilets working and that was only for 1/2 of the cruise. Other then that, the bathrooms were not marked well and very hard to located We saw one show up in the Skylounge. It was horrible. We all were very disappointed. One in our group checked his bill the night before we disembarked. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the whole cruise and was told the employees were at the end of their contract and was just plain tired and this was why the service was poor. Seems to me that this shouldn’t be the paying customers problem and if this was the case the cruise should have been at a deeply discounted price All in all, I was 100% disappointed and as stated before will never cruise with Princess again, along with the 13 others who were with me Read Less

We went on a family reunion cruise to celebrate milestone birthdays and anniversaries. We were very excited to see Alaska and Alaska did not disappoint. Advice for travelers. Princess is a large company which sponsors a lot of the shops you will find on port. Excursions are cheaper if you go through other websites, like Alaska Shore Tours. i was afraid to use them given there were comments made that they might not get you to ship on time. Well, if you know your time you need to be back and pad it by an hour, you are fine. Plus, the people in these town know cruise ship port times as this is their life and how they make their money. Knowing what I know now, I would have researched hikes and excursions for each port city and did my own thing and would have saved considerable cash and gotten away from the constant upselling of Princess. The whole cruise experience is about up-selling. The Lotus spa was nice, I came in for a $119 facial. Was upsold to $189 and recommended to buy $350 worth of product. That was my first day. Then all of the time loud speakers are touting opportunities to spend money. I honestly felt like people were trying to swindle me out of every dollar they could. All I heard about cruises were how good the food is. We did not have one single meal that was good. Honestly it reminded me of a hospital cafeteria food. We dined in a variety of places, but our traditional dining experience the food presentation was so bad! I wish I would have taken a photo of the blobs of food on my plate that I didn't know if it was edible. And this happened several times. We resulted to ordering salads and soup the final two days. if you are a person who prefers to learn about nature, enjoys fine foods and go on vacation to learn about the local people a cruise might not be your thing. We found more fun finding hikes ourselves, finding a dive bar in Juneau full of locals, getting away from all of the Vegas-style excessiveness. I loved Alaska and the people who call it home. Princess if you can do a couple of things to tone down all of the excessive consumption and waste. Provide a guide for the type of cruise experience you want, like lectures - make this a series so those types can easily find times of when they are vs. the massive lists that are hard to identify in the Princess Patter. Just placing a column with a category of the activity would help discern if it is of interest. Read Less

Princess was the worst cruise line I have traveled on. Staff were not friendly/helpful, food was not that good and was not labeled to indicate if it was vegetarian, many of the hot tubs were closed the entire cruise (and would have been nice since we were in Alaska), they included a mandatory tip into most of their prices which is deceitful (just give me the true price instead of trying to hide it! - tipping doesn't work if it is mandatory), when we paid a ton of money for pictures they gave us the Princess templates with the picture embedded in it rather than the actual digital file of the picture; there weren't many activities to do on the ship (no slides/adventure activities); the night shows were repetitive; fitness center was often crowded and super hot - no airflow at all; and everyone was always trying to sell us something additional...Will never cruise with them again. The only thing they did well was the efficiency of the embarkation/disembarkation process. Read Less

We chose Crown Princess because we wanted to do the British Isle itinerary. We came into Dublin one day early to explore Dublin in depth and to allow for jet lag and/or unanticipated travel snafus. Embarkation was fine as most people ~2,300 come on board in Southampton and only 300 +/- come on board in Dublin. Still, when we disembarked, the staff was slow to inform passengers of the status of the port clearing us and what the next steps were. More information more frequently should be the rule. SHIP: Ship is dated and time worn. Despite saying that the ship was refurbed in 2018, we saw no evidence that they did any improvements that improved passenger satisfaction. Instead, they installed Medallion monitoring (very concerned about privacy and how they are tracking and using information they collect). They did not provide information on keeping this information in relation to GDPR or our right to be forgotten which is a huge privacy concern. Cleanliness in the vestibule of the elevators/stairs could use a supervisor. For example, for two days straight, there was a smear of something on the elevator call button. Just need much more attention to detail. CABIN: We were upgraded to a balcony cabin which was nice and the room was clean. However, the door stop was broken off from the wall and the carpet baseboard was no longer sticking to the wall. The bed was a positive and very comfortable. But the rest of the room was 1980s/90s beige and brass and showing its age. For example, they are still using the Love Boat theme song in its safety instructions when most people have never seen the show. FOOD/DINING: The Cruise Critic summary of the Crown Princess' food is misleading. The food on Crown Princess was VERY poor. The summary was correct that the food in the dining room was better than the buffet, but the food in both places was terrible. The desserts were far from flakey and rubbery and dry and the design of the menu (coordinating starters with mains) did not work well with each other. The buffet in particular was the worst we've experienced in six different cruise lines and food was frequently lukewarm at best. The breakfast buffet was so poor and was the same thing every morning. ENTERTAINMENT/ACTIVITIES: The Wheelhouse Bar singers were quite good and entertaining. The casino was okay, but permitted smoking with only a couple of nights to be non-smoking nights. Still too smoky otherwise. Quite basic. We used the fitness center almost every day. Good selection of machines and we rarely had a crowd and liked being able to look out onto the port as we worked out. What was difficult to understand was that the center did not have large fans on. The air did not work well enough to withstand the heat coming in from the windows. Each treadmill and elliptical had a personal fan, but it was not enough to circulate the air. SERVICE: Service was not at the level we expected given that we were told that Princess was a a step up from basic Carnival. We are not sure if it is a case of A) untrained staff B) staff not empowered to solve issues/concerns C) Lack of adequate supervision OR a situation involving all three. We also suspect that given that this ship is the oldest in the Princess fleet that it serves as a training ground for first-time crew with limited skills. We also suspect that the longer-tenured and thus more experienced staff transfers to newer ships which leaves fewer experienced supervisors and role models for new staff. For example, I had to ask the buffet crew member to find cleaner tongs and to refill empty fruit trays. The crew members did not act like they had the authority to either resolve the situation or know how to raise the situation to management/supervisors. PORTS/SHORE EXCURSIONS: The timing in most ports were too short except Dublin which was too long. We did not take any of the Princess excursions and instead took private tours. Princess excursions were dated (we went to Belfast and there were no Game of Thrones options, we were in Southampton and near Highclere Castle (site of Downton Abbey) and no excursions) and were almost all large 80+ people on a bus that drives around spending limited time at any location. The excursions were not experience type of excursions and were much more expensive than private ones. Princess also charged high prices for basic shuttles into town where other cruise lines include this with the cost of the cruise. SUMMARY: We will not do Princess again. Princess is trying to live on its past reputation, but not doing what is needed to stay in the game in this segment of cruising. If you are considering Princess, I would suggest Celebrity or if food and cabin are very important to you, go with Viking Ocean. Read Less

Our travel agent in good faith helped us decide on the subject cruise. The decision was driven largely by the ports of call, and a generally good experience expressed by other clients regarding Princess. We are not seasoned cruisers but we travel extensively with bookings we do on our own. We were on a cruise with Royal Caribbean many years ago and two years ago with Celebrity. It was the positive experience we had on the Celebrity cruise that encouraged us to book this cruise with your line. It was a very disappointing experience. The excursions were badly designed with lots of time wasted needlessly for the short time in each port. Some operators were good but one chose to make very inappropriate comments. The food was fine but there was no attempt to serve any dishes from the region. One of the entertainers chose to make jokes about people with mental health issues. This is not acceptable in any context. Unlike some other ships there is no place to sit quietly beside a pool and read a book - the noise from the film was overpowering even at the "quiet pool" area. Overall this was very bad value in comparison with Celebrity. Read Less

I chose this cruise line because I desired to take my family to Alaska. The embarkation and disembarkation were the smoothest and most professional parts of the cruise. The cruise catered to a specific demographic and offered very little for others. It was not child/teenage friendly and provided limited services for them. Most of the staff was not friendly or professional and were simply there to do a job. They were not there to provide a memorable experience. The photographers did not take good quality photos which gave a limited selection to choose from. We desired to buy more photos but could not. The food selection and quality did not meet the standard of other cruise lines. Some of the cabins were nicely sized but had very small showers. Each Port of Call was very nice, had great scenery and offered less expensive excursions on shore. All of the excursions (purchased all after arriving at port) were nice except the last (Victoria), which provided almost no excursion opportunities because we arrived at 7:00 p.m.. This cruise line provided a very poor cruise experience and simply fed and transported us from one location to another. Read Less

This was our very first Princess cruise So I will begin with a positive: -Embarkation and Disembarkation was so organized it was joke compared to carnival. -The views were amazing, breath taking and worth every moment you spend with the ones you love. Truly a dream vacation come true. -The mini-suites are roomy and the beds are so comfortable (soft). If you like firm your in trouble. -Entertainment was a hit or miss, one comedian was ok and our second one was awful. June our Steward was so nice and sweet. -Hazel Alfonso which works at the bar (Promenade Lounge & Bar) is by far the most amazing person. She is by far the best bar tender I have every had and she is the only reason I would go on another cruise with Princess again if I had to. -Crown Steak house was well worth the price which was really not much, my steak was perfectly cooked and the staff was excellent So the Negatives: -On the Dolphin deck around room 400 to 500 there is a horrible smell of mold. -The Dining room food for the most part was freaking horrible, we had one good night out of 7. The breakfast was so bad I had the eggs benedict and the sauce was lumpy and tasted bad/old. The breakfast in the dining room made toilet sick so I only went that one time. _The Buffet was the worst food I have ever had on a cruise ship. -We never got to do any activities like pool, ping-pong, shuffle board, you would think on a ship this big they would have more than one shuffle board game. My wife got sick on Tuesday, head/sinus infection and is now walking phenomena. On the 6th day of the trip the crow grill opened for lunch for free and I heard they had the best burgers so I waited in line alone, when I got to the hostess, I ask for a couple burgers to go so I could bring one to my sick wife. I was rudely told no, that was not going to happen. I explained that my wife was sick and I asked if they would like me to get her out of bed so she could get everyone on the ship sick. He said we will not give you a burger to go and I needed to go to the buffet. There were several people in line that told him, we don't want to get sick just give her a burger on a plate man. He still refused and then became very rude. These people on this ship are not accommodating in any way shape or form. I will never go on another Princess cruise even if it is free. Read Less

We chose this cruise line because it touted it's high tech Medallion and Medallion related apps (downloaded) from home, all of which malfunctioned. Ocean Compass and Ocean Now required us to sign in repetitively, and frequently told us we had disembarked, were not onboard... we were seated by the main pool on Deck 15. IT staff onboard could not resolve the issue..we were finally told it was the make of our phone....and that upper management knew. They knew and did not inform passengers pre-cruise. Very poor. Entertainment mediocre at best. Food fair unless you wanted to go to non-fare included restaraunts. Anytime dining means 7:30-9:30 PM . Oppressive smell of sewage emanating from the Spa on Deck 16. Do not recommend snorkeling excursion at St. John's...passengers poorly monitored for safety. We have been on several cruise lines, including Disney. This was the worse cruise we have ever taken. Never again. Read Less

The destinations were fabulous! However, everything else on the cruise was horrific. The food was so bad that when we did discover edible food, we thought we had hit the jackpot! We went to bed hungry when the ship did not have a stop. When we got off the boat, we ate on shore and purchased lots of snacks. The menu was not pescatarian friendly and the cooks clearly struggled with seafood. As for our cabin, it was located directly under the aft deck. Every morning the crew dragged chairs over our heads to set- up the deck. We requested another room and offered to pay for an upgrade, but the guest services never got back to us. The excursion assistant manager is so disrespectful that he should be fired! The photographer never showed up for our appointment. We waited for 40 minutes. When we bumped into her, she claimed not to have us on her itinerary. Our luggage was misplaced for disembarkation. Overall, Princess Cruises are the worst. Read Less
