My sisters and I chose this cruise because of the itinerary and length of time to enjoy together. The ship was amazing and staff were incredibly kind and personable. We loved the entertainment, especially Kory Simon the piano man and the shows. Meals were sensational and a speciality meal in the Crown Grill surpasses our expectations. The scenery of the countries we visited and history of Europe is fascinating. 21 days flew as we enjoyed every aspect of the ship, the staff and fellow passengers. The international cafe was a hotspot after excursions for a relaxing drink and snack before our formal dining room experience and we also could tan in the afternoon high tea at three if we chose high was so nicely served. The crowd control was very well dealt with by offering so many different venues throughout the ship as well which made it feel very comfortable. I loved every minute of the 21 days and my next trip will be longer- again with Princess Cruises! Kudos to Princess! Read Less

After reading some of the negative reviews about this ship we had our concerns prior to the cruise. We like to think our standards are extremely high and we expect a good service. This cruise ship and all the staff on board totally surpassed our expectations. We chose this cruise for the wildlife and the experience of going to an area that is inaccessible any other way. Yes, the Grand is an old lady now but there were really hardly any concerns or negative comments we could say about the ship itself. We booked the Owners suite on the back of the ship and the perks of being in a full suite were fantastic. From being personally escorted to our state room on the first morning in San Francisco, minibar set up, welcome bottle of champagne, refreshed water and ice every day, extensive fruit bowl, fresh orchid delivered to our room, speciality suite breakfast in the Crown restaurant every morning, free laundry ..... the list goes on and on. We also had a designated concierge contact Lucy, who called numerous times, just to check all was to our liking. On the first night we had a free speciality dinner in the Crown Grill which was fantastic and every other night we ate in Da Vinci club class restaurant. The staff were so attentive in every restaurant we went into, we never came across anybody who was anything less than professional and friendly. Giovanni and his team always went over and above what was necessary to give us a great experience every evening, even remembering our preferences after the first night. We cannot really comment on the evening activities as we tended to enjoy a pre-dinner drink at the Explorers bar (fantastic frozen Margaritas) then go for dinner and then we would go back to our room and enjoy the facilities in our suite and balcony. This was the same for during the day as well, we wanted to see the wildlife rather than sit indoors, so again we spent most of our days at sea on our balcony. We were extremely lucky with the weather and had glorious sunshine most days. Read Less

Celebrating 65th Birthday with an amazing cruise to Alaska was the trip of a lifetime. We started in Seattle with a tour of Mt. Rainier which was lovely. Perfect weather in Seattle. Embarkation was easy, efficient and smooth. We were in our balcony cabin shortly after boarding, unpacked and joined the sail away celebration. Star Princess was beautiful. Dining in all the venues was delicious and plentiful, our favorite was Crab Shack and The Crown Grill, The buffet was delicious and plentiful with lots of seating. We never had a problem finding something to eat and somewhere to sit. The coffee in the buffet was very good. Our cabin steward William was attentive and responsive to our needs and requests. The entertainment on board was fun and just right, including the enrichment series. Very informative about sea life and the bounty of Alaska. The shore excursions were perfect, we enjoyed each activity in each Port. The Alaska Rainforest and Raptor Center where we saw Sitka the Bald Eagle was just amazing. Whale Watching and Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau was simply breathtaking and we got to see many whales, including Orca’s up close. The Skagway White Pass Railroad was absolutely beautiful. Victoria is a beautiful City and we enjoyed our chocolate experience at Roger’s Chocolates. The weather the first week of September was beautiful, with the only exception being the fog that caused us to not be able to sail into the Tracy Arm Fjord, Service onboard the Star Princess was top notch with friendly and helpful staff. We would definitely love to do another Alaska Cruise and love Princess Cruises. Can’t wait for the next Princess Cruise adventure. I highly recommend this Star Princes Alaska Cruise. Read Less

Our suite was very spacious and very clean. The steward always had the room cleaned and beds made by the time we returned from breakfast. Before retiring for the evening the beds were straightened out and chocolate placed on bed. Loved the comforter Clean towels at all times and adequate soap was supplied. The cabin had two glass double doors along one wall. Great view. Balcony had two chairs and table and also two deck chairs. The food was excellent including excellent service. Lots of meal choices catering to any pallet. The waiters were kind, attentive and at times entertaining. They made you feel like part of a family. They went out of their way to make you feel special. Entertainment was great. The comedian on the ship was absolutely hilarious and rightfully received a standing ovation. The dancers performed like professionals. Alaskan scenery was breathtaking and I recommend the Ketchikan Duck Tour. Embarkation and disembarkation was well organized with minimal waiting times. There were plenty of people guiding you through. Lovely Cruise. A must! Read Less

It was arranged by a local bus tour company and it was a dream of mine. My husband and I decided that life is too short to sit around waiting for the lottery. The ship was awesome and our cabin was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The dining was an experience in different tastes and an awesome and overwhelming journey. It was prepared well and it allowed us to experience different foods i.e. ate escargots for the first time and they were delicious. Anyone who said they were bored just were not taking advantage of what was available from bingo, bible study, casino, crafts, exercise, comedy acts and Broadway acts, etc. We also went on shore excursions in Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway and they were all fun in their own way, Saw a good deal of country, spoke with many people and it was truly an awesome experience. The steward, Reinir was just a lovely individual who worked hard but was very genuine in his dealings with us. No phoniness about him. He was very good at giving us advice and directions about things on the ship and what was available. In the dining room we had Rhoderick and he guided us in an adventure in dining. Ate a variety of meals and they were second to no one. The chefs knew their way around a kitchen and the blends of flavours they used were out of this world. We ended our cruise in Seattle but prior to that we were in Victoria BC Canada. We arrived at 7 PM PST and it was beginning to darken soon after we embarked on a shuttle bus and we walked to Chinatown. If we had arrived at 4 PM the excursions others had taken would have been enjoyed a bit longer because the main complaint from others was they couldn't see anything because of the lack of light. ALL IN ALL for hubby and I it was a tremendous experience. The weather at times was abysmal but it's September in Alaska,,,rain and fog were a chance we took and we did not get to the TRACY fjord due to the dense thick fog and that was disappointing but safety was a factor and I am glad the Captain went on the side of safety. This cruise was to celebrate my upcoming 70th birthday and that we did. All the excursions we took were wonderfully laid out with experienced guides. The only problem I had was the amount of walking involved both on the ship and the excursions. The Star Princess is very large, with long, well lite, narrow hallways and several banks of elevators to move you from floor to floor. With roughly 2,600 passengers and 1,100 crew members on board, that is a lot of people moving around. Breakfast and lunch seating can be a bit difficult between 9:00 and 10:00am, so go a little earlier, when it’s easier to find a table. Sharing a table with someone you don’t know can be fun and interesting. You really need to go a few minutes early for the shows you want to see because, again seating fills up quickly. But the people I met and the adventures I had, created memories that will last a lifetime. I loved this cruise and may repeat it in the years to come. Read Less

We chose this cruise because we love the Royal Class ships and we knew who the maî·tre d'hô·tel was. On the Royal class ships the Enclave as part of the Spa is just such an incredible place to unwind, and it's only on the Royal class ships. We selected Club Class Mini-Suites because we loved the extra experience in club-class dining and were not disappointed. We have sailed to Alaska a few times and Princess has always been wonderful from start to finish. Our only blemish on the cruise was an excursion in Skagway, Photography, which was more time in the van than taking pictures. However, it was followed up with the glass blowing experience at the Jewell Gardens which was wonderful. We also purchased the photography package which allowed us to keep all the pictures taken on the ship and they are provided on a thumb drive too. This creates an excellent set of reminder memory for the cruise, and because they were on a thumb drive they were shareable immoderately Read Less

Chose this cruise to Alaska based on a recommendation from friends. It was so good the first time they cruised last year, they wanted to go again! After reading all the reviews here, I was concerned. But rest easy, this was a truly marvelous experience. I am not easily impressed, but Princess really sucks you into the experience! Room attendant, "Carl" remembered and used our names on day 2! Room was clean, bed comfy, bathroom as advertised. Enough space for a week for 2 in a room with a view (partially obstructed), nice t.v. with tons of relevant programming....and movies! Great pillows, comfy beds and linens. Lots to see on the ship and lots to do. I went to 3 trivia games! I missed the sled dog puppies, and was amused by the art auctions and bingo games. SO. MUCH. FOOD. Casual snacks, salads, sammies, and sweets (SF options too!). Dinner at the same time, same table, same server every night or casual dining, pick your time, smorgasbord of servers! And then, the buffet. Ooooo. The buffet!!! Ports were lovely. Every last one. Rented a car in Juneau to see Mendenhall Glacier. Fun! Friend in Skagway drove us around the City and then we took the Red Onion GoodTimes Girls walking tour of the City, by the gracious Daisey May Doya. Ketchikan is steeped in history... past the gift shops. Our only excursion was the Lumberjack Show. Very entertaining and fun. This beautiful city needed a little further exploration. Vancouver B.C. we didn't disembark. It was a late, short stop, at night. Coffee was very good indeed. I bought a coffee card for floofy coffee, and it was worth it. Didn't buy an alcohol package because I don't drink that much, but I did buy some drinks. Price includes tip but prices are the same as bars here in Oregon! However, the pours were different at each bar for the same drink. Ship had, luckily, smooth seas. Hot tubs and pools in working order and clean. But they close at 8:30 pm. Pizza, hot dogs, burgers, fries, chili, Cali-toast, street tacos, stromboli, on Deck 15 were.....FABULOUS. Crew always says hello. Ship was kept spit-spot and ship-shape constantly (but unobtrusively). Announcements could be challenging! Shops were great. What's up with Tanzanite??!!!! And, folks complaining about heavy sales pitches, it just didn't happen. Unless you went to a sponsored event. All in all it was a really great time. Glacier Bay and the weather, were awesome. Princess does a great job. So enjoyable. Just, please FIX THE OCEAN CONCIERGE program. You know what I'm talking about!6 Read Less

We had an amazing vacation. Meet some very neat people. Looking forward to keeping in touch with them. The ship was clean and beautiful. Food in the Horizon Court was always really good. The best meal we had was at Curtis Stone Share! Go there and eat, you will not be disappointed. The Casino was fun we won some and lost some but overall it was fun. The artwork was pretty, not my style but nice to look at. We got the coffee card, but could have done without it. The coffee in the Horizon was just as good and free :). Soft serve ice cream was perfect, my hubby's favorite. :) We had great weather, only rained in Juneau. We did a little shopping in Juneau. We did the train ride in Skagway, that was beautiful. I would go again! Glacier Bay was beautiful, so peaceful and relaxing, we did see a portion of the glacier break but did not get pictures. The Lumber Jack Show in Ketchikan was really cute and fun, great for the family! We did the Pedi-Cab ride in Victoria, BC, I recommend seeing the city this way. The stop in Victoria is short and Pedi-Cab makes it to where you see the whole city in 2 1/2 hours. So you still have time to shop if you want. Overall the best vacation we have taken in years. We are looking forward to our next cruise, I really want to got to New England & Canada cruise. Read Less

we Really enjoyed this cruise. The food was great. The people were friendly & helpful. Best message I have had in years. We enjoyed the shows especially the comedian , I think Carlos. Enjoyed the magician also. Played some bingo and some slots. Also went to my very first art auction. I won a piece. All in all we had a great time. Yes I would do it again. Our excursions were the best too. We stopped in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan & Victoria. We enjoyed every port from the tram in Juneau, the train ride in Skagway, the lumberjack show in Ketchikan & the bike ride in Victoria. We did a lot of walking but it was worth it. The weather wasn’t bad at all. No need for umbrellas. However, our last stop in Victoria was the best. What a way to finish the cruise. We got a ride from Ryan at Victoria Bike Rentals And Tours. They were right outside of ship. Our bicyclist was Ryan. Best bike tour I have ever been on. Very informative & educational. I fell I love with the little houses on the water. It was a wow effect. Visited the blue bridge & parts of town we never knew existed. A very beautiful city. A very clean city. I only hope it doesn’t change. Ryan was Very nice, polite and he cared about us. Gave us blankets to stay warm. Let us shop. If we were hungry we could have stopped to eat. Can’t say enough about him as a person. He knows his history. Would recommend. Just look for Ryan. It was worth every penny. Thanks again Harold & Carol Read Less

We chose Coral princess to take us around Alaska's inner passage because friends recommended it. It is a smaller ship which I think is perfect for Alaska. Our service was good. The way the food is now a days, I make sure we go to a specialty restaurant for really good food. The coupon book you receive first day has a BOGO deal that will save you $25, but must be booked that day. Be sure to book Sabatinis at least twice and right away! We could only get in once because I waited. We purchased a Balcony dinner served in our room for $100 for the two of us. It was fantastic and I highly recommend it. It includes a cocktail, apps, bread, champagne, flower arrangement, photo, white glove service, choice of filet and/or lobster, fab salad, crabcake encroute and 2 desserts! Best steak and lobster I ever had! I am not one for shows, so I didn't attend any. Hub went twice to hear soprano. We watched movies in room. We had a balcony which was a splurge. If your don't get one ,there are plenty of places to see 360 degrees on top deck. Read Less

We boarded the Island Princess in Vancouver. The Vancouver port is beautiful, but the embarkation process is spread out throughout the terminal. You went from one end to another end and back which didn't seem very efficient. It was very organized just not efficient. In my opinion, the ship itself was the perfect size for an Alaska cruise, small and intimate. We had an aft balcony suite and I can't say enough about how wonderful it was. We could sit on the balcony comfortably most of the time, because the wind was blocked. Even in Glacier Bay we did not need heavy coats to enjoy the balcony. We had Club Class anytime dining. The food was very good in the dining room and our wait staff were excellent. The buffet was ok, but it was hard finding a table and the variety was limited. The pizza on board was very good, great crust! We ate at the Bayou Cafe but not at Sabatini's. The Bayou food was good. I felt the entertainment could be improved upon. I wish there was a production show every night and that the comedy shows had there own theater. There could have been more activities during the day also, but you come to Alaska to see the sights, not for the ship activities. Our service throughout the ship was great. Everyone was attentive and helpful. Our room steward was wonderful. Our excursions were whale watching in Icy Strait Point, dog sled camp in Juneau, and White Pass Train in Skagway. They were all booked through Princess and were all great. Each of them was only part of the day, so we had plenty of time to walk around the ports also. I have to say my favorite was probably the dog sled camp. It was informative and lots of fun. Disembarkation was a breeze! It was so organized and smooth. Kudos to Princess for making it so stress free, especially when you don't want to leave! Read Less

Absolutely great cruise. The crew and staff on the Pacific Princess was outstanding. The accommodations were great and the itinerary was everything we hope it would be. Every port was beyond our expectations. The tours had excellent guides and transportation. The information shared about each location visited was well done. Many ports gave us the opportunity to walk the towns and cities before or after our organized tours. This was an added bonus. Particularly enjoyed the fjord tours in Norway. They were spectacular. The dining on board the Pacific Princess was ideal. Also the ship has recently been refurbished to the decor was beautiful and comfortable. We would highly recommend a cruise on this ship. We added a third week to our cruise and also did the British Isles. This was a great decision. We love to do this cruise again. We can't say enough about the staff on board ship. All were gracious and made our trip very special and personal. Take a cruise on the Pacific Princess. You won't be disappointed. Read Less

Although I am a Platinum cruiser with Princess it had been a long time since I last sailed with them. As I booked a VERY last minute cruise to Alaska we literally had the last ocean view cabin (Plaza 202) on the ship--all the way forward. My concerns, however, mostly proved to be unfounded--yes we heard the anchor a couple of times but no we didn't hear the theater--yes, the laundry was a few doors down but we not only never heard it nor saw much activity, it actually turned out to be a huge advantage (who gets to return home with a suitcase full of freshly washed clothing :). The cabin steward, Anthony, was outstanding which was impressive considering his 10 years on the job. He checked in on us always with a warm smile and worked very hard to insure our cabin was sparkling and our needs met. Having mostly sailed in balconies on high floors I had forgotten the advantages of simply strolling from cabin directly to the center of activities--from a delicious and varied menu at the coffee bar (pastries, yes, but also lunch and dinner items with a large and always varied menu. There was also a wine bar nearby that featured tapas and wine flights, and plenty of comfortable tables to enjoy the remarkable scenery. The Star Princess also impressed with and one of the most creative and delicious dining room menus we've ever experienced (much better than a recent Celebrity sailing) as well. We adored the naturalist presentations and I had never seen so many folks working out at a cruise gym in 30+ sailings--lots of speciality offerings as well. The massages we had were both wonderful and yet different (international staff) and we appreciated the special coupons distributed for a birthday. We also enjoyed the naturalist presentations and bucket list shore excursions that were very well done (helicopter and ice hiking on a glacier, sea plane landing in absolute serenity surrounded by waterfalls, etc.). I also saw that Princess truly goes the extra mile missing with so many even upscale lines--from champagne fountains to a visually beautiful and delicious Alaskan brunch to a balloon drop and a wonderful presentation from the first woman to win the Iditarod--Princess continued to impress. Lastly, when a problem cropped up I was contacted immediately by the customer relations manager Gianluca, who was the consummate professional--he met me in person, offered a considerable amount of time to listen and really express his concern and desire to make things right --another rare occurrence in the industry. Princess made a "new" convert--we will be returning soon. Read Less

I went on the cruise with my parents to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. We flew into Seattle the day before and went to the Chihuly museum at dusk which was wonderful. The day of the crusie we explored Pike place market which was fun. We ubered to the port and embarkation was smooth. People directed us through the process, and everyone was friendly and helpful. We boarded the ship and went to our lovely mini suite. The room was large and had a balcony where we spent a lot of time watching the scenery. The room showed some age as the couch was frayed and the chair had a stain, but honestly not worth complaining about. Our steward was Melvin who kept the room clean and was friendly. The ship was beautiful and it never felt crowded as there was always a place to find solace. As a first timer, I was amazed by how many activities there are on the ship. If you can't find something to do then not sure what I can say. Our captain had a wonderful sense of humor and Gary the cruise director is top notch. We did the anytime dining which was easy and we never had to wait. The only reason we ever waited was to get into our favorite section with Nikola the section lead, waiter Ben and junior waiter Danjay. The food was delicious and didn't disappoint. We only ate at the buffet twice and it was good. The staff were always pleasant and boy do they work hard. I appreciated the way we had to wash our hands at the buffet. We saw the comedian, the magician (2 shows) and the Motown review. All were entertaining. We also did the Voice of the Ocean tryouts and finals. The culinary show was fun and the tour of the kitchen amazing. Ports: Ketchikan- we did the totem pole your and lumberjack show. Finding the guide was easy and disembarkation was flawless. The tour was really good and our guide was interesting. The lumberjack show was entertaining and corny and something I wouldn't do again. Tracy Arm fjord - the naturalist provided dialogue as we traveled here. Breathtaking. Jeaneau- My parents did the state park excursion, saw a bear and loved it. They also did the tram. I did the kayaking excursion. I thought we would be closer to the glacier ,but the kayaking was a lot of fun with eagles and seals part of the sights viewed. Skagway- lovely historical town and we enjoyed the historical buildings and markers. We took the train tour and the views and smells were amazing. Victoria- beautiful Port City. We didn't do any excursions but chose to walk to the center of town and shuttle back. Seattle- sadly the trip had to come to an end. Disembarkation was flawless and the port offers a service to check your bags to the final destination. So we put our suitcases out on Saturday night and the next time we saw them was at baggage claim at home. I would go again in an instant. Princess did a wonderful job to make sure we had a memorable experience. I'm sure I could find things to nit-pick but honestly I'm not sure what it would be. Thanks Princess for an amazing time. We chose this cruise because the itinerary started and ended in a port that was relatively easy access for us. This was our first cruise; and we loved it so much, we're thinking of taking a longer cruise next time. Alaska is beautiful, and we enjoyed all of the port stops; but, it was rather exhausting having them three days in a row. On our next cruise, wherever we go, we'll choose every other port to explore. As a means of transportation, it was the best way to travel. Every need catered, we can relax, watch a movie, walk around, even play sports--no sitting confined in your seat as on a plane or in a car. The food was wonderful--of course. We loved the entertainment, especially the shows by the Princess dancers and singers. The smaller acts in the piazza were wonderful. I could have sat there all day listening to the music. It was lovely having a 24-hour cafe in the piazza where one could relax and listen to the music while sipping and snacking before turning in for the night. This was a great first time experience, and we can't wait to do it again. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the ports that it was stopping at. We also liked the amenities and class of the cruise. We enjoyed the club class dining. Our servers Jelana, Ryan, Iris and Bazvan were the BEST! We always asked to sit at their station and enjoyed their company immensely. The saw to our every gastro need and gave excellent tips on what to order. They really added to our vacation enjoyment! We took 2 of the cruise excursions which were both extremely well run. The guides were very knowledgable. We tried to sign up for some tours in Marseille but they were canceled. I liked Paulos who gave tips on the ports during the sea days. We loved the Sanctuary. It was a quiet and relaxing way to spend the afternoon. The servers were all very friendly and accommodating, waiting on for every need. We really liked the evening shows in the Princess theater, especially the dance themes like the 70's disco. The activities during the day seemed geared more for older people. Too much pushing of the anti-wrinkle, burn fat seminars at the spa. Also we would have liked more lounge chairs available in the shade around the pool. We liked that there was not too much loud music around the pool. Liked the band that played periodically at the pool in the evening. The shuttles to town should not have a cost attached. When you pay $8000 for a cruise, you expect that it will bring you to the actual place that is listed on the itinerary, not have to pay $15 pounds to get you there. My neighbor was so excited to see our pictures, she wants to go on the same cruise next spring. She indecisive on this or a Italy bus tour. Are there any incentives you can give to help her decide? We used a Princess motor coach transfer from Anchorage to Whittier and it was very efficient. By completing the Ocean Ready process before we left home, the Embarking was super easy. The services once we boarded and before we left port were plentiful. Our cabin with balcony was plenty big for the two of us. It had a desk and small sofa with the queen size bed. Bathroom was always kept clean. We picked this cruise for the itinerary and were surprised how much we enjoyed the food and the entertainment. Customer service was always exceptional. We pre-booked all our excursions through Princess. They were expensive, but all providers were very good at their specialty. I highly recommend the Hubbard excursion to get close enough to see the immense glacier size and any calving. The cruise ship does not get very close. We did a special photography safari in Juneau and were very lucky with the whale watching. The boat driver knew how to find the whales. The tour size was limited to 14 people. In Skagway, we took the train/bus combo. Best views were from the bus and are fabulous!. The lunch stop is very touristy. The food was good and the dog sled puppies are fun. We where searching for a cruise line that we would enjoy the ship, destinations, food and the overall feel of the experience.the staff was very friendly. The ultimate ship tour and the chefs table where great add ons to the trip to alaska. The staff in share, crown grill, and the salty dog gastro pub. Made for so wonderful nights. Alaska took our breathe away from the morning we approached juneau till we departed ketchikan. The shore excursions we took where great. We will be returning. Ruby princess was a great ship for being at full capacity it did not feel crowded. We where on deck 15 forward. The cabin was nice and quite during the night and mornings. The view from the other decks made evening walks a joy. The dining anytime option made for fun and interesting dining groups. The photo package we purchased worked out very well for us. This was a cruise we will smile about when we remember this lovely trip. Read Less

We've been to Alaska many times and we wanted our daughter and her family to see the beauty of the land that we keep going back to see. It's so peaceful with breathtaking scenery in all directions. There are many areas of pristine, untouched nature and wildlife abound everywhere. Embarkation and Disembarkation were the best of all the cruises we've been on. The crew couldn't do enough to make us comfortable and fulfill all our needs. The food was excellent and varied including gluten-free bread and dessert offerings. There could be a more consistent kids' program, however. And an indoor pool would be nice for Alaskan tours. The boutiques are well stocked with a diverse selection of goods. I love the International Cafe which is open 24 hours for a late-night snack. I loved taking a hot bubble bath at the end of the night...such a treat on a ship. Well worth going. Check the hours of some of the ports because we had one very early one...7 a.m., and one very late one...7 p.m. I'd have preferred more daytime hours for being onshore. Read Less

We decided to take this cruise to visit Greenland which we have never visited previously. Embarkation went smoothly and we were whisked aboard Caribbean Princess quickly with their new Medallion Class. Greenland was an amazing place. Fortunately, we had sunny days with high temperatures in the low 50s. My wife and I enjoyed touring the three ports and cities where we stopped in Greenland. The people were friendly and always greeted us with large smiles. Caribbean Princess' staff went above and beyond in all areas of service which you would expect on a cruise. Our cabin was terrific and kept ship shape by our outstanding Cabin Stewart. Dining on the Caribbean Princess was outstanding. The food was high quality and delicious and varied during the cruise. Entertainment was terrific and ranged from production shows, comics, singers, and instrumentalists throughout the cruise. I would recommend this cruise to anyone who wants to visit Greenland. My wife and I would definitely take this cruise again! Read Less

Pacific Princess is the smallest of the Princess fleet, with a capacity of only 670 passengers. When I booked, all the suites were sold out, so I booked a mini-suite, which was later upgraded to Club Class. Right after I paid the fare, we were upsold a forward suite (#7005, Marquesas Suite). I'm always aft, but I love those suite perks, so I jumped on it. This was the largest suite I've ever seen and had a bath and a half, with a wall of closet space, along with all the usual suite perks like that sumptuous Sabatini breakfast. Interestingly enough even though she is very tiny, Pacific Princess never felt crowded, but because she is so small, it was easier for my elderly mother to get around. The food and staff on this ship are amazing, and the maitre d' came by our table at every meal to make sure everything was going well. Chef Giuseppe was the brains behind the original Chefs Table Experience years ago, and we were thrilled to experience Chef's Table with him. This was a great cruise with a great itinerary that we would absolutely do again, no questions asked! Read Less

Sail from Southampton was to be our first. 14 day western Med cruise. We are family of four so we booked a vista e733 and my daughters in a ocean view e709 close by. I had read bits about being above club fusion, but the suite was great and very quiet. It is a bit tired but very clean and very good balcony with no issue with the beam. We are regular cruisers with Princess, but our last was with Celebrity which was so good that I worried we would not go back to Princess. However the crew on Sapphire were so very very good, food was excellent and we are foodies, so well done Sapphire. Entertainment was first class, great singers and guest performers, best ever had on any cruise. The Sapphire is a smaller than Royal class Princess ships, but is a lovely ship, bathrooms do need complete refurb. Otherwise a great cruise and renewed my prefence to Princess. Booked onto Enchanted next summer as a result of this positive experience. Read Less
