Review for a Alaska Cruise on Grand Princess

We chose this cruise because we wanted to explore Alaska. When we read some of the reviews we were almost regretting choosing the Grand Princess. I was also warned that the ocean could get very rough. Well, we had perfect weather conditions and the ocean was very calm. I have never written a review but I would like to assure that the cruise and the ship were absolutely AMAZING. We have ...

We had an excellent wait staff in our traditional dining room Tassanee and Juan Carlos made a good team. Everyone in the dining room was friendly and helpful. The itinerary was the inland passage with a cruise day in Glacier Bay. We stopped in Juneau the first day we went on the evening whale watching cruise. We were able to see 4 humpback whales with a very close proximity of one they called ...

We had 10 family members which this was in our price group. Still $30,000 total. Weakest part was the food service and actual food improperly prepared. Hollandaise sauce was the worst and inedible. A beef wellington with raw bacon covering liver pate bitter. They said it was made off ship and so they did not control however raw bacon is not a safe way to serve pate wrapped in bacon ...

Better late than never! Sorry for the delay. Long time reader, first time reviewer! If I missed anything, just ask. I have appreciated the reviews here and decided I needed to start posting reviews too. First review- be kind! PHOTO DISCLAIMER: I am not good at taking pictures- of us, menus, programs, anything! So, this will be visually boring! One of the things I love about cruising is ...

We chose this 10 day Alaska cruise for the ports - and they were great. Excursions were well done but a little expensive. It was a huge disappointment when we arrived that our full price suite did not have a balcony - we were really surprised that any suite would not have a balcony. Plus it is directly under the promenade deck and the joggers at 6:00 a.m. rocked the room like a herd of ...

Having cruised on Holland America, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Regent Seven Seas, and previously on Princess, I have experiences to afford comparisons. We had a mini suite and it was adequate, anything smaller would have been pathetic. Our cabin steward was excellent. Soap in the shower was of the pump on the wall type, an example of cost containment. The basins are very small and the counter the ...

Chose this cruise for the itinerary. Party of seven. No children. Booked adjoining cabins on Baja Deck through Princess, including Princess Air and Princess Travel Protection. Due to weather our connecting flight to Boston from Philadelphia was delayed. American Airlines got us on another flight. In Copenhagen we waited for our luggage too long. Princess reps were sympathetic and ...

Was my dream cruise. The ship was wonderful and the food and service was great. Fabulous entertainment loved the Beatlemaniac show. Whist the second show had been in the theater as it was too crowded in the piazza The princess cast shows were great. The activities staff was fantastic. Played trivia every day. We enjoyed the murder mystery. Lots of laughs. The skywalk was okay but not spectacular. ...

My mom was turning 75 this year and I thought this would be an excellent way for her and I to celebrate! Being a first time cruiser - I read a ton of information and reviews. Decided on Princess as our cruise line and then debated between Glacier Bay and Tracy Arm Fjord. I am so glad that I chose Glacier Bay - it did not disappoint! This being our very first cruise, we had no idea of what to ...

when you make a complaint, you expect to be listened to? 1) boarded on the Saturday and balcony area and glass were dirty - at first I thought the glass was frosted??!! 2) rear deck on boat (deck 17 ) was filthy - a day at sea and noticed stained decks and loungers. 3) formal night - we chose not to attend as ive had more black tie events than I care to mention and didn't want to cart my ...
