Unfriendly, uncooperative

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Caribbean Princess

We went because we wanted to see the Panama Canal and that we did but even that tour had a lot of problems like getting off the ship late, to not having a Panama Canal pilot ready to go, getting back 2 1/2 hours late. The staff was unfriendly and there was NO help at the Passenger service area. We were told to just deal with the problem like not being able to get into the room or down the hall ...

Beautiful Ship and Great Entertainment. Wake up call at 2:45 AM! Food just ok.

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Regal Princess

I was expecting more from this cruise. The food was average and there were problems with the life vests not fitting many people on the ship during the drill. There was NO sanitary toilet seat covers on public bathrooms. Robes were too small and our beds were set up wrong. On the good side, the ship is beautiful and entertainment was great. They nickle and dime you at every turn. Many things to do ...

Out of 20+cruises, first time on Princess. Highlights: -very good food, approachable chefs proud of their craft -good organization by Princess to have specialty restaurants open for breakfast to lessen the crowd factor -open back of the ship was amazing going through the Panama Canal -awesome pool, well balanced water, can actually swim laps in it -smoking right near the shopping ...

Wonderful Itinerary & Wonderful Dance Lessons

We loved spending a few days prior to the cruise in Barcelona, the city of embarkation. I found it as beautiful and interesting as other major European cities such as London and Paris. The ports of call were great with lots of history and culture to explore. During the Atlantic crossing there were a great variety of activities. I especially appreciate the dance lessons and the great music at ...

Relaxing trip

We took a short cruise to St. John and Halifax for a quick getaway. We parked in the lot next to the ship. We found many large screws in the lot which we moved from the parking area. This was concerning. Embarkation was slow and a little disorganized. The ship is big but did not feel as big as some of the other ships in its size class. The elevators are all within a short distance of each ...

Well organised ship, outstanding kids club

Given the size of the Regal Princess, we were impressed with the overall organisation and dedication from the staff - it felt like a smaller ship. Our encounters with the Captain and senior officers were outstanding, and we enjoyed excellent humour and service from waiting staff and our cabin housekeeper. Our kids (aged 7 and 4) enjoyed the kids club and wanted to be there the whole time. They ...

My husband had a bucket list of seeing the battleships and carriers in California. This ship went to the ports that housed these museums . We enjoyed the extra time in San Francisco and San Diego. We did not do the excursions provided by the ship, but used Uber to get around and bought excursions at the port for San Diego. In San Francisco there is a bus that runs to several areas of the city ...

Retirement 2017

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Royal Princess

This was the cherry on top of my retirement. One week in Rome with family and then off on 25 days around the eastern and western Med and an atlantic crossing. It was port intensive from Rome to Barcellona, after Barcellona it got a little easier. The Royal Princess was a great ship for a 25 day cruise. We were in cabin E410 which is a balcony with an obstructive view. Only a small amount of ...

Hubby and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted to do something fun and relaxing. We've done several transatlantic crossings in the past and looked forward to taking another. Our last ta the Canary Islands stop was cancelled so we were excited with this itinerary and two stops there. We've cruised on the Royal several times before so knew the ship and with the exception of ...
