We flew into the Anchorage airport the morning before the cruise. It's a small but lovely airport. Friends who were visiting Anchorage for several weeks picked us up from the airport later in the morning and we had a wonderful drive, where we stopped to see Dall sheep up in the mountains, got photos of Turnagain Arm, and visited Potter Marsh. The management by the Cruise staff is excellent. We liked seeing all these older women taking care of the check-in, it was so charming to see these people doing worthwhile work and being so friendly and polite.Checking in on the boat for us was quick. Our luggage arrived at a reasonable time at our room.We disembarked at Vancouver. We had seen many comments of praise about Princess disembarkation ...

Nothing much to do in the port itself, unless you take an excursion like we did. We book the 26 Glacier Tour with Phillips Cruises. What a great company to deal with and what a wonderful tour. We saw more wildlife in the four hours than we saw on the rest of the cruise. And with the smaller boat, we were able to get very close to the glaciers. Lunch was a part of the deal and it was adequate, but ...
