We walked to the local train station in Warnemunde from the ship, no more than 10 minutes, and got a day ticket for the local trains, £3.66 each. We took the train to Rostock, about 20 minutes away, and then a local tram to the old town centre. The surprise of the trip. We were expecting this to have been the low light of the trip but was anything but. A lovely little town with a great beach, lovely canal full of bars and restaurants. Great train service to Rostock (which we took) and ship ties up 5 mins from train station and 10 min form town centre. Great port call ...
