Worth taking a train between Rostock and Warnemunde or take a boat one way and train the other way. Just be sure to go out on the correct side of the station to get the bus back to the ship. There are 2 entrances. We learned the hard way. ...

Our original itinerary had us docking at Warnemunde. We were notified of the change to Rostock industrial port but no shuttle options were available to visit Warnemunde. The paid shuttle only went to Rostock. If you wish to explore independantly there is the option of a local bus & train but you need to do the research before you leave. the seaside town is charming even in the wet. ...
