The tour at the stop involved driving in an old rattling bus with a non working PA system across the desert. The bus driver did a u-turn in the middle of nowhere, passengers got out to take pictures of the scrub bushes (which we later found out were over 100 years old, couldn’t hear the narration on that) then back on the bus to a wash board road, heading to an oasis. Walvis Bay is a difficult port to negotiate as the dock is a mile or more from the city center. The town can be easily done on your own. There isn’t a whole lot to see, so I suggest you book a tour to Sandwich Bay. The scenery of the dunes coming down to the ocean and the drive along the beach are unique.
