10 minutes with train is monaco station. Just walk from monaco train station to the marina port, aquarium, japanese gardens, casino, and back. Don't forget to take pictures at the F1 turns!!! Monaco is the best thing you can see at this cruise. Beach at villefrance is very good. ...

Villefranche is a great place to spend time if you are not interested in doing an excursion to Nice or Monaco. Trek up the hill to the little shops, cafes and restaurants tucked into little streets and alcoves. This is what the Cote d'Azur is all about! ...

The ship did not dock at shore, so the cruise arranged for boats to bring us back and forth to shore. It worked quite good. Villefranche is worthwhile a sigthseeing, but you can do this on your own. It is hilly, so you need to be able to walk hills and stairs up and down. Villefranche also have a soft-stone beach, and I really recommend a stop there to for a swim in the Meditteranean ocean. Got the train to Monaco and then took the hop on hop off bus. Would really recommend it as it is the best way to get around Monaco and see all the sights. The bus stops at the station so convenient for getting back there in time to return by train to the ship. ...
