Cheaper to take a taxi. Not a lot to do in Victoria, unless you booked an excursion or high tea. Been there so many times. We preferred to go back on ship, and take advatange of things to do on the ship our last night. ...

We have been to Victoria many times, we always catch the city bus which is only a few dollars to our destinations. You can get a day pass and jump on and off of it as many times as you want. To catch it it is only up the hill from the cruise ship and when you come to the very first Street the city bus stop is to your left. We enjoy going to Chinatown and we also enjoyed taking others to the ...

I screwed up and thought I\that I could do it on my own. It was a mistake. Victoria is beautiful. There is round trip shuttle service from the port to downtown and back but it costs $13 and the line was very ...

We bought shuttle tickets onboard $13 each. We explored the Royal British Museum on our own. It was great. They had an Egyptian exhibit that was really unique as it focused on the average worker in Egypt, and not the usual royals. The real trouble was the shuttle back. It was a 45 min wait to get on! The line was long with no seating and this elderly couple made up some bogus excuse and cut ...

We did not book an excursion because we were arriving so late that we didn't think an excursion made sense. I was glad we had not booked the whale boat tour because we saw so many from the ship as we sailed to Victoria. We walked around town, Fisherman's Wharf (cute restaurants, shops and homes on houseboats), popping in shops and making it down to Chinatown and Fan Tan Alley. The shops were ...
