To access Toulon, you had to board a tender from the cruise dock across the bay. It turned out to be a lot more expensive than expected. I don't recall exactly but seems it was about 30 to 40 dollars each for the round trip ride. Seems like the tender would be inclusive of the cruise. Nice city, but a strong front blew though before noon and stayed very windy in the city. ...
Cute little French town, but a ripoff because Princess does not port in Toulon, but across the bay. The ship charges $25 to go to Toulon. We used public ferry, $4. Shops close around 1pm so get an early start. ...

Ship docked in the town so walked across the road and round the market. Went to the Tourist Info where we bought tickets for the bus and cable car to Mont Faron. Tickets were 7.50 euros and well worth the money. At the top of the mountain is a small zoo, restaurant and an allied war museum which cost 5 euros and was well worth the visit. Returned to the harbour where there are shops and cafes ...
The port of landing to go to Marseille. Again, over 4 hours spent on teh coach for 2.5 hours in the city. When we stopped the "guide" got off and said "we'll see you here but on the
other side of the street in 2.5 hours.Bye."! We were just left in the harbour with no map and no suggestiosn about where best to go/see. Another waste of time and money ...
