Stayed on board that day,and you can wander to the local village,or get the NODDY train,but we were there on a Sunday,and after some long days ashore,saw no reason to vacate a floating luxury hotel... NB you are on the wrong side of the bay!!!! and need to get a water transfer......RC$20....local 2euro........do your research.... ...

We did a shore excursion through Royal Caribbean - "Discover Provence". It was great. We went to Sanary-sur-Mer, Le Castillet and Marseilles. We were on our own in each town. The scenery was beautiful and we had a great lunch in Le Castillet. Also bought some calissons (sort of like cookies) which are local to the area. ...

The ship docked a long way from the city and were charging $20 a head for a return ferry ride. A fifteen minute walk from the ship gets you to a local shuttle boat (#8M) for 2 Euro each, each way. Very nice to just wander around and inspect the local market, it was Sunday, so most shops closed. ...
