Did a hop on hop off tour of Messina. Very nice city. Watched the clock tower do its chiming at noon, which was very good. Then walked to a restaurant for lunch. We ate at the Pub, which had delicious German Beer and the most delicious Napolitana Pizza I have ever eaten. Yum. ...

The cruise port is in the centre of town, You get off your ship and their you are , delivered right into the hands of Sicilian taxi cab drivers , all wanting your business. If you just walk pass them , there is a hop on hop off bus in the church square, only a few minutes away.. If you are a senior , don't forget to ask for the senior rate. We walked around Messina. The square with the church and clock tower was beautiful! They do a show at noon everyday with music and moving characters which was really nice. Other parts were ok but a lot of graffiti and garbage everywhere. They need to clean up their streets. ...

Nice. We did not take the 2 hour trip to Taormina but stayed close to port and took one of the hop on hop off buses. Again, we heard from a local that there was a beach along one of the bus routes but we missed it. I wish NCL would have better information like that for us. The bell tower at noon at the Cathedral of Messina is not to be missed and probably the hi-light of the day. We would never ...
