We sailed with Princess for 4 out 5 trips, starting in Auckland. During the trip Princess changed their benefits. One of the most significant benefits is Princess Cruise lines has stopped providing free exercise classes as stretch and abs. If you want classes you either have to pay for them or you can do what we did run our own stretch classes. There are 3 trainers on board. I saw more people ...

We wanted to do a cruise after years of Covid cancellations and the NZ sounds (they are fjords ) were on the bucket list. Boarding was easy, lots of different steps to go through but staff kept us on track. Leaving from the terminal next to the bridge is a highlight. Staff were fantastic and friendly. We ate mainly in blu restaurant, except for lunch when we usually went to the outdoor area of ...

So I enjoyed the cruise, BUT I booked a year previously and checked with Celebrity and was told price included drink package and internet, BUT on boarding no drink package or internet. Apparently over the year Celebrity changed their policy from all prices include drinks to you can pay extra for drinks if you book the cheap seats!!! Thus started out really badly, luckily we were classed as ...

We chose this cruise before covid and this was a rescheduled cruise. We have sailed to Tasmania many time and this was more about the journey for us. Firstly the greetings in the terminal were very friendly and check in was very fast. We went straight to our cabin which was a balcony. The cabin was quite narrow and seemed cramped although it did have a lounge and coffee table. The balcony was ...

I booked to go to Eden in NSW but it was changed to Tasmania .. so. Much more to do onboard this ship. But long lines for dodgem cars and ifly etc. and the North Star. Apparently you book via the app. My app did not work well. Even their staff couldn’t fix it. So that was no good. We had a main dining room booking but got SOOOOO MUCH in the way of lectures from crews about filling out reviews and ...

First cruise in 4 years!

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

The cruise to Tasmania was a substitute for one we had needed to cancel earlier. It was our first for 4 years due to Covid, and it was interesting to experience cruising again, on a ship that we have always enjoyed before. We knew there would be changes, such as only servicing the cabin once a day and reduced benefits for diamond plus cruisers so we were not expecting it to be the same. However, ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Viking Mars

My husband and I are in our forties, so we understand we’re younger than the typical Viking guest. We have done two Holland America cruises in the past (although in 2010 and 2015, so several years ago) and enjoyed them. We did a Viking River cruise in 2019 and loved it, which was our primary motivator for booking with Viking Ocean. We’re avid readers and generally quiet people, so the appeal of 1) ...

Though we've traveled on many different cruise lines, this was our 1st Viking cruise. Prior to boarding our experience was so-so. Viking brochures clearly tell you that on board tips & gratuities are included for ocean cruises in general and this trip in particular, yet as soon as you pay they ask you to prepay onboard tips and gratuities. We booked with 2 other couples (6 people total) and asked ...

Choose this cruise to Fiji, New Caledonia and Vanuatu because I enjoyed the cruise some years ago and have always wanted to go back. First cruise post COVID so was interested to see how cruising had changed. Unfortunately cruise itinerary was changed multiple times before sailing. Stop in Isle of Pines (one of the nicest Islands) was cancelled due to operational reasons afew months before ...
