Would not cruise with Carnival again

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Legend

This was my first (& last) cruise with Carnival. We have cruised many times with Royal Caribbean & Holland America. We chose this cruise as we were travelling with our family which included 4 grandchildren and we thought Carnival would have more activities for the kids, but they have no more activities than RCL. Embarkation was efficient and we were on board quite quickly (although we had ...

Embarkation not to much of a problem. Everything went down hill after that. Service at the bars extremely slow gave up waiting after 10 mins of being ignored while bar attendents having private conversation. Cabin very small bed extremely uncomfortable to the point of not being able to get a decent sleep food very poor standard deserts tasteless enertainment a shambles and of very poor standard ...

First time ocean cruisers and it probably be our last. Travelled Royal Caribbean – Radiance of the Seas. No complaints with either the food or the room. Unfortunately, due to rough seas, outdoor experiences were not available for the days across to New Zealand and a day returning to Australia. Oh well, plenty to keep you entertained within the ship. The infrequent and non-current movies. ...

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

We chose this cruise as we had heard great things about Celebrity X. We have cruised several times Royal Caribbean so expected it to be better as Celebrity is supposed to be their premium brand. Our room attendant kept our rooms cleans but could barely speak English so was very hard to communicate with. The main dining room staff were gorgeous, kind and fun and the food on board is ...

Very disappointing

we chose this cruise because the first port of call was to be Norfolk Island. The weather did not allow a tender boat to take us on the island. We had two days at sea to get there and two days at sea to get to Tonga This meant five days at sea before getting on land. My complaint is that we heard afterwards that ships rarely get onto island because of weather and small jetty. Cruise ships and ...

We wanted to see Australia & NZ is why we booked this. We had been on 2 other Princess cruises, but were smaller ships, and many years ago. FOOD- I am a vegan & they did accommodate me, although when I booked they had a smoothie bar, but took it out for our cruise. VERY DISAPPOINTED! My husband liked the food & sometimes we waited a long time for dinner. SHIP-TO BIG & TO MANY ...

This was the Majestic Princess, 10/10/2018 sailing Australia/ New Zealand. First, the good: 1. The crew and service was first rate. I was inspired by these hard working people with fantastic attitudes. No criticism in this review should take away from them. 2. The ship is gorgeous and our cabin (E726) was amazing. 3. We loved the itinerary. The cruise itself was a fantastic ...

Large-ship cruise is a disappointment

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Majestic Princess

Our overall impression is one of disappointment. Nothing about the large ship experience can be considered to enhance the customer's enjoyment. Compared to a "small" ship having a guest population of about 1200, our experience on the Majestic Princess included sub-standard food (cool or pre-packaged), and an abyssmal disembarkation experience in Auckland. The day of disembarkation cannot be ...

Food, seating, poor

Not my first cruise over 300 days in last 5 years. But my first Princess and probably my last. Have cruise Carnival to Cunard and Princess is bottom of the pack. The buffet is a diaster area with cold food and a collection of pots and pans from a thrift store. They use foil on top of pans trying to keep food warm (very tacky) but all food on the buffet is cold. There is good seating in buffet and ...
