First Time on this Line

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Having cruised both NCL & Princess I was interested to see how Celebrity compared. First to the good points. Well decorated and very modern with clean lines, staff 10/10 both friendly and there when you needed them. The buffet was the best we’ve had on ships so far, both in variety and quality of food. Our cabin was well set out and comfortable bedding. The only specialty restaurant we went to was ...

Loyal Princess cruises, wife picked the cruise as she wanted us to snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef, Sadly we didn’t because, A) too expensive, B) Got sick with the Flu as grotty people coughed all over me. Alcohol prices outrageous, a bottle of Kim Crawford Pinot Noir cost over $50 AUS but you can get it for $16 on-shore. Rod Stewart Tribute guy, stank! Had to leave after 3 songs. guy ...

We had heard fabulous things about this cruise line so we’re keen to experience it. We have travelled on two other cruise lines- Carnival and Holland America. So we aren’t inexperienced cruisers. We had also heard how beautiful the cruise to this part of New Zealand is and were looking forward to the trip. On departure day we received a text to say the ship had arrived late so our embarkation ...

Entertainment was lacking

11th cruise so yes...I love cruising and this was by far the worst of all due to entertainment...actually lack there of, I’ve ever experienced with RCCL. My 2017 Harmony (US-Texas) and 2018 Symphony (Barcelona Spain) cruises both had AMAZING shows and entertainment (Grease, Hairspray, Flight: Dare to Dream, Ice Skating Shows, Aqua Shows etc.) The Ovation does not even compare AT ALL! ...

Lovely ship and Crew but Entertainment and Food Need Updating

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Majestic Princess

I chose this cruise for a South Pacific holiday break and to experience a new port for me SavuSavu, Australian Survivor filming Island. It was a 14 day experience. This was also recommended as a shining, new, modern Princess ship (built 2017), with the new Sea Walk. This was different yes but it does not make up for a decent promenade deck or front and rear views on a lower deck out of sun or ...

I did not chose this cruise but went with a relative due to the cruise leaving from Australia. I had never been to the South Pacific before, so it was a new area of travel. Embarkation and disembarkation were relatively easy and well organised. This ship is lovely and clean and the cabin stewards are extremely helpful and friendly. Our disabled cabin was large and easily accessible for ...

Engine vibrations unsettling to many people.

First time on this ship. Have never suffered motion sickness and have experienced heavy seas on previous voyages on smaller ships. On this ship many of us felt the engine vibrations strongly, causing nausea and anxiety for much of the cruise. I am very puzzled as to why this unpleasant feeling occurred but it was a common complaint among passengers so I was not alone. The seas were very calm so ...

Showtime and singers and dancers and entertainment was the best I have seen on a cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Majestic Princess

Have done 5 Princess cruises, are platinum members and were interested to cruise on the Majestic even though we had done the cruise twice before. The dining team for table we had for table 299 had difficulty understanding our requirements. Food service was very slow for the 7.30pm and on occasions we missed the late show in the Princess theatre. Wine service was particularly slow as the wine ...

With only a day and one-half to explore Sydney, we only captured a small glimpse of this charming city. Both embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly and very quickly for us. Our balcony cabin was roomy and nicely decorated. Cabin steward was excellent. Being as it was at the front part of the ship, anywhere between 4,000 and nearly 6,000 steps were done daily. With so many ...
