Best of Suva. Good way to see Suva from the comfort of a bus. Fiji Museum not worth the visit but a stop at Thurston Gardens (right next door) should be included as this looked very nice. Again the same old 'approved' shopping stop. ...
Central Suva is not at all inviting and it is not good to walk around as it is very busy and not particularly friendly. Again the shopping is minimal. ...
Take an excursion outside the city. Suva is a poor third world town. I took a canoe excursion down a river through the jungles and Canyons to a waterfall to swim in. The waterfalls and lush greenery was awesome. I really expected Tatto to pop out of the jungle because it was so beautiful! Walked on my own to Fiji Museum in Thurston Gardens. Very good museum and gift shop that accepts credit cards. Some inexpensive items purchased here. Walked by the president's house and many government buildings and shops. Enjoyed walking into the Grand Pacific hotel as well. Purchased some handicrafts at the Handicraft market very close to the ship. ...
