NCL DAWN TIME FOR THE SHIP AND CREW TO GO INTO THE SUNSET

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Dawn

We have sailed NCL many times and our expectations are low. However this cruise made low expectations even worse. To give some of the highlights: No cabins were ready until 345pm despite being allowed on board from before noon . Our room was never dusted or cleaned properly. The TV and safe did not work. Someone had put garbage under the bed from previous cruise and it was still there. It ...

A cruise to remember

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Jupiter

Our friends recommended Viking and this particular trip to us. We’d been interested in a Viking River Cruise but booked this first. We will be booking with Viking again because in my opinion, no cruise line can compare-Viking really does dot all the ‘i’s and cross all of the ‘t’s. The ship is immaculate, the restaurants are all delicious, the excursions were top notch and all were handled with top ...

Bitterly disappointed

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Marina

We chose this cruise because it fitted in with the dates of our round the world itinerary and it was an opportunity to visit ports we've never been to before. We were a little surprised that this company charges approximately 1/3 more than previous cruises we've taken in similar categories but, we were constantly assured by all the advertising before travelling, that it was "the finest cuisine ...

NCL passengers stuck in ports to fend for themselves and getting to a destinatio

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

"15-day cruise with one day at sea and 14 days at ports in 14 different countries bordering the Baltic Sea" was the reason we selected this cruise during mid August through early September of 2019. NCL chooses to not pay the port fees for a convenient berth or mooring. Instead, at each of these 14 ports, the Norwegian Spirit pays the least amount of fee and in turn the Norwegian Spirit moors at a ...

Terrible Ship, Terrible Service, Terrible Costa

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Costa Magica

I decided to cruise with Costa because they offer affordable trips to Scandinavia. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst cruise I have ever been on. The ship itself was in pretty good condition. The inside felt cheap but comfortable. The ship's layout was fairly confusing and they were constantly ripping up carpet all over due to a bad smell. The inside cabin's are small but comfortable, and ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Costa Magica

This whole cruise experience was awful in so many ways. 1. Cleanliness: In the hallway outside our cabin it constantly smelled like sewage. Our toilet malfunctioned several times, threatening to overflow into the bathroom floor. The white towels and bath mat had coin-size brown stains on them. Carpets are filthy and stained, dining linen does not appear to be changed, and we encountered ...

Have just completed cruise with Costa from Stockholm to Russia back to Stockholm and then down to Italy. Total around 21 days. Ship was built in 2004. Although I suffered from food poisoning on the last night, Dining in Restaurants and Buffett was quite good. Accommodation although a bit dated was good and consider room quite comfortable with a good mattress. The waiters and room attendants were ...

Viking reneged on its (accepted) offer to us

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Sky

For us, there were two parts to this cruise. There was the very happy first part. Viking Sky is a beautiful ship, inside and out. The meals were the best we’ve experienced in 18 years of about two-week annual trips abroad every way a tourist can (ocean vessels, river boats, sailing craft and, of course, tour buses). The shore excursions, although generally overpriced, were very good with very ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

We were both looking forward to this cruise as we had never been to the Baltic countries but our experience on board the ship and subsequent dealings with Royal Caribbean " Executive Office" has left us very negative about the attitude of RC to customer issues. Our concerns began when it took 4 weeks for RC to answer a question about transport from the ship at the end of the cruise to the ...

Poor and Uncaring Service

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

The itinerary is tempting and each location has plenty to see. However, do it with another cruise company. Royal Caribbean's crew on this ship has no care or concern for the pleasure of their guests or allowing for the easy resolution of problems encountered. The food is lackluster and the dining staff has no particular desire to either provide better quality of food or service. We did not ...
