Great itinerary, bad food & service

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

First and last time with Costa. The ship is well-designed but poorly operated and all was costly and of bad quality. The food was very poor, hygiene non-existent, which gave us stomach problems for weeks to follow, only eatable at dinner (with the right choice). The ship is billed as Italian, but the cook missed out on everything Italian. As the crew comes from all over the world, one has an ...

The itinerary was exactly what I was looking for in an 8 day cruise. Check-in was very efficient, drop your bag outside and agent verifies bag tag, number given for check-in group, waited only a few minutes until group was called, maybe 10 agents verifying documents, passed through security and on the ship, cabin keys on your bed in cabin. Very easy and efficient. You have to remember this ...

Fantastic boat but Viking has a failing grade

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Star

This was our 5th cruise, 3rd with Viking. This was the best boat we've been on, but Viking continues to be plagued with problems. Embarkation was very smooth, as was disembarkation when we finished. Dining: It was extremely difficult to make restaurant reservations ahead of the cruise, with a limit of 1 reservation per restaurant. That didn't get any better when we boarded...one of the staff ...

Will not come back; Silversea over promise under deliver

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Silver Whisper

it supposed to be a luxury cruise with great service but it turns to be an old and dated ship, a mid level ship has way better public areas, the spa is a shame, old, bad quality and terrible facilities. the main Restaurant is the only one that delivers a excellent service and quality of food, the rest the food was good but service is mediocre at best. the bars services were terrible as well ...

What is your vision of hospitality?

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

Want to fight over a table during lunch time? Be reminded over the sound system not to hang on to long? Pay an arm and a leg for your water, tea and sodas? Sleep on an artisanal extra bed made of bits and pieces? And pay over € 7000 for it. Chose the Serenade of the Seas. You might also experience the leaking through the ceiling and the bathroom lamp falling down in the middel of the night ...

We were a total group of 17 in a variety of accommodations ranging from Owner's Suites to inside staterooms. We were all treated the same...POORLY. First I had to find my own luggage which was wet from being left outside in a rain storm. Boarded the ship at 11am for a 5 pm sailing and nothing to do on the ship (besides hunt for luggage). Staff is generally unfriendly. Most (not all) ...

Baltic cruise

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Regal Princess

The ports of call were the reason why we chose this cruise. We have never cruised with the Princess line before and I have to say I would never do it again. The food and service was just average. There is a daily cabin charge of $15 per day per person and we felt that was too much for what we got. The towels were frayed and dindy and we had to ask housekeeping to change our sheets. The portions of ...

Tired ship, unenthusiastic service, French restaurant Murano terrible

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

We sailed on this Celebrity cruise as part of a rewards type trip. We have been on a handful of other cruises, one in particular was a Royal Caribbean Mediterranean cruise 4 years ago, that set the bar pretty high. The ship is really showing its age. Our room was tired and cramped, nothing out of this world. It was nice having a small balcony but it was worn, rusty and dirty. Our stateroom ...

Great Itinerary - Lousy ship

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

Worse ship I've sailed on yet. We booked this for the amazing itinerary - lots of port days and only one at sea day. We booked private excursions on most of the ports - did "on our own" in Riga, Klaipeda and Fredericia. The ship gets the 2 star rating. I found it old & out dated ( with a few exceptions in the public bars and lobby) We had a balcony on level 7. The teak railing was warped, ...

We chose this cruise because of the wonderful itinerary, and this never disappointed. However, Let me say this was not the usual Royal experience. We purchased the beer/wine/soft drink package but really was rarely able to use as pool bars were not opened. Had to hike over to one of the other bars to fill a soda. Didn't bother. The Adult pool was always filled with families and their children. ...
