Great service, good holiday, but it could have been better

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

We chose this cruise because of its itinerary, and we were not disappointed by the ports of call. It's our third cruise with RC . We were on Brilliance last year and this ship is virtually identical which helped with settling in- the colony club is the safari club and the Pacifica theatre is the tropical theatre. The year before we were on Splendour, which was sold to Thomsons. So small ship ...

Good ship, Viking needs some work on shore excursions and post-cruise activities

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Star

This ship is very nice - incredibly clean, very nice people, and good overall comfort. However, there are some things that need to be fixed before I would consider spending this kind of money to go on a "luxury" cruise again. This was cruise #19 for us. 1. The cabins are nice (the bathrooms are really nice), but quite small in comparison with what you get on other lines for the same amount of ...

Baltic Cruise on Windstar

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Wind Surf

Cruised with Windstar several times in the past. Did the 2017 Baltic cruise on the WindSurf. Began the cruise in Stockholm and ended it in Copenhagen. The WindSurf is in good shape. The staterooms are adequate and the common areas are fine. This cruise went as planned with the exception of the cancellation of the Bornholm day. I found the WindSurf staff to be business like and well versed in the ...

Highly disappointed

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Marina

My husband and I have been on many cruises, but decided to try Oceania for the first time. We just returned from the Baltic cruise onboard the Marina. For the positives, the ship is very pretty, nice size and the food is good...I wouldn't say fabulous. Several of the meals in the "specialty dining" couldn't even prepare a steak to medium rare. It was either to done, or still bleeding. The ...

Positives: 1.The places we stopped were all exceptional. 2.We liked the size of the ship easy to get around ( I managed to find my way back to our cabin on my own after only one day ( being a man I take that as a positive!)) 3.Chops Grill is definitely worth a visit - Food and staff both exceptional 4.We had a mini suite and were very pleased with the size. Negatives: 1.Two ...

Do it only if you want to see lot of cities with family on the cheap

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Serenade of the Seas

Cabin was ok. The hallway was smelly at times. Poopy smell. The towels were smelly. Windjammer had decent variety of food. But, some days the food was stale. Plus some tables were smelly near the kitchen. Too much traffic and turn over, the quality and cleanliness was getting hurt I thought. The staff tried but guaranteed 18% tip is effecting service. The constant marketing for paid ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Costa Mediterranea

Lots of sightseeing, no days at sea and ... Petersburg! It is difficult to explore it differently! It was clean, although the ship is old. Visitors are almost all Italians. The TV was very blurred and the program was poor. The kitchen is almost exclusively Italian. The self service bar was small. Tea only once a day, for tea time. Very good service, both in the restaurant and in the cabin. ...

Wanted to see the Baltic and Scandinavia. Was not disappointed in in the wonderful sights and cities. Was not happy with Poland being bypassed because of engine problems, apparently according to one of the engineers a known problem as it had happened on the Viking Star. We went to Denmark instead, shore trip a bust, the next two calls in Denmark were great. Getting back on board was a pain when ...

Viking Ocean not for us

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Star

Chose this cruise as an alternative to our usual cruise line (Fred Olsen) to see if we would like this type of cruising. Ship, The ship is beautiful with lots of public spaces but it seems deserted a lot of the time and lacks atmosphere. It is like staying in a four or five star hotel. Cabin. The cabin lived up to all my expectations being large and comfortable with lots of storage ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Corinthian

This was my 3rd trip with Grand Circle. My previous trips were a land trip (England, Scotland and Wales) and a riverboat trip (Cruising Burgundy to Cote d'Azur). I loved the two trips mentioned above but didn't feel like this recent trip (the Grand Baltic Sea Voyage) was worth the money. Given the expense of this trip ($9000), I had VERY high expectations since I saved three years to go. ...
