Great walkable city. Do the Vassa Museum first. Take the hop on hop off boat from the cruise doc. You can buy tickets on the boat. Can get around the harbor to see all sites on this boat. Very informative. ...

Visited Vasa museum which is brilliant. Two main tips...go there first thing, queues were massive by lunchtime as we left. And tickets are available on the boat. We queued immediately on leaving the ship at a ticket booth for 15 mins in the pouring rain before we realised we didn't need to. Just follow red line for the boats a short walk away. The first boats break their route to go directly to ...

Lovely city but rainy day. Lots of stores for shopping. We took a taxi off the boat. Paid 300 Kr going in and 200 coming back, so be careful of the taxi prices. Get a set price before you get in, don't take one that says price depends on the meter. We tried to ride the subway back to the boat but it wouldn't take our mastercard and they wouldn't take Euros. ...

We used the hop on hop off boat right at the pier. No need to buy tickets ahead of time you can buy them right at the boat. $20. Do not use the hop on hop off bus they get stuck in traffic. Our first stop was the Vasa museum. Well worth a visit. We went into the city center. We watched the changing of the guards at the palace. They have a full marching band. Fun old town area with shopping and ...

Walked into the city again. Probably a bit over one mile and slightly blighted by demolition/road works (Aug 2016). However lots of nice shops and cafes (with free WiFi) and interesting parks. The sea approaches were wonderful, tiny island after tiny island with wonderful houses and the channel comes in very close ...
