Everything about the ship was perfect!!

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Viking Sky

We'd heard very positive things about Viking from several people who'd gone on river cruises. We wanted to go to Scandinavia, and found our Homelands ocean cruise. The business class flights to and from were amazing; so comfortable. Every Viking service was excellent, from meeting us at the airport to escorting us to and from the ship and airport, to the cheerful meal service people to room ...

Lovely ship, Great Service, Terrific Ports

We chose Viking because it offered a Baltic cruise and the Viking Ocean Cruise reviews were so good. We had an amazing cabin, the food was excellent, we enjoyed a couple of lectures and a concert on board. The ports were pretty much what we wanted, though I could have skipped Helsinki and a third day in Saint Petersburg would have been nice. We loved having our laundry done for us, a benefit ...

Great time

Food, entertainment, stateroom, ports, organization , customer service and crew attitude/outlook were really great. They could not have been better. The included excursions at the smaller ports were not always as great. We realized that there is only so much you can see or hear about at such ports. You will probably enjoy the optional tours at these places a lot more, even if they are pricey. ...

This was our first cruise ever and we liked the itinerary. The view leaving Stockholm sailing the archipelago was incredible!! Also the ship had been christened the month before and everything sparkled. The crew was phenomenal ( they smiled all the time!), the staterooms spacious and comfortable. One of the best things is that it is a small ship—there were only 898 passengers—and crew one for ...

We had the pleasure of recently sailing on the Viking Sky Homelands cruise, Stockholm to Bergen. The whole trip was amazing! The Viking Sky is a stunning ship. Even though the ship was almost full to capacity it did not feel crowded at all. Anywhere we went on the ship there was always plenty of seating available. The staff and crew went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. You really ...

My wife and I always wanted to visit Scandinavia. The scenery was amazing, particularly sailing into Eidfjord. The history on display in the Vasa Museum in Stockholm is not to be missed, and it's a beautiful city architecturally. Porvoo is a quaint village & lunch at Haikko Manor was fabulous. It could almost be said that St. Petersburg was worth the price of the trip. The history, the ...

Bucket list trip

This trip to the Baltic was a "bucket list" trip for me and my husband, and it did not disappoint! We had previously loved our Viking river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam so we were familiar the brand. Overall an excellent experience with few complaints. The Viking Sky (newest in the fleet) is beautifully appointed and the public rooms are all inviting. We particularly liked the size of the ...

In July/August we took the "Vikings Homelands" cruise. This is a lovely trip; 11 ports and 8 countries in 15 days. This was our second trip on the "Viking Sky" and we just love the ship. Cabins are larger then the river boat cabins; all rooms have balcony's; the restaurants are lovely; the food is great, and service is wonderful. We love having room service on the days where we have an early ...

Excellent Baltic Experience

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Silver Whisper

The Silver Whisper is a small luxury ship. It is very well-maintained and kept spotless by the crew. The dining was particularly noteworthy. One of our meals in the main dining room was regarded by a group of experienced travelers as one of the best meals we have had anywhere in the world, and our meals in La Terazza featured pasta that rivals that found anywhere. The sommelier was ...
