This was advertised as Stockholm but was in fact an hour away in Nynashamn . Wasn't impressed by it. There was nothing of interest there. We would have taken a train into Stockholm if we had known it was so boring.

Hop on/Hop off tour - very expensive through HAL - hard to get audio tour part to work, traffic in Stockholm was horrendous so luckily I took this in the a.m. rather than worry about getting back to the ship on time.

Got a taxi out no problem but several taxis refused to take the wheelchair on the way back and the hop on hop off bus said they wouldn't sell us a ticket after 5pm Eventually a taxi did agree to take us.

We love Hop on Hop off and chose this in most every port. The WiFi and headsets did not work on most of these buses which was disappointing. I would not choose Hop on Hop off at Stockholm.

Ship docked in Nynashamn instead of Stockholm 1-hour bus shuttle (fee paid by guests) to Stockholm Reduced time in Stockholm Chaotic bus logistics for the return to the ship – exhausted seniors told to wait for 2 ½ more hours for the “correct” bus transport to return to ship, even though seating was available on the existing buses. Ship docked on Saturday following Midsummer Festival kickoff – most shops and stores in Stockholm were closed. This is an event known to occur at least 1 year in advance. Extremely poor planning by NCL. Read Less

Hate to blame NCL but the blame is theirs to take. Our port itinerary changed from Stockholm to Nynashavn ( 1hr train ride away or 1h 40min bus ride away from Stockholm). We received a flyer in our room, apologizing for the change and NCL offered guests who booked prior to the change notice (which essentially involves almost everyone, since we booked 3 months before and we did not knew the port change) for a free bus and train transfer to Stockholm. To claim it, you have to go to the Guest Services, and you've guessed it another long unruly lines to claim your freebies. And it was indeed a shuttle bus, then a train ride. No direct transfer amigo. But they extended the port time by 4 hours so all was good. We planned to return 4 hours before the on-board time, because we ran out of things to do. Alas, the train service in Stockholm broke down and no service to Nynashavn for unknown time. To make worse the announcement were in Swedish, we waited at the train station confused that the scheduled train has been late for almost an hour. Until one arrived which everyone, locals and tourists alike, try to squeeze in, only to be told to get out again at the next stop. Then a bunch of NCL people gathered telling people to wait there. NCL will send bus to pick us up there. That is the passenger talking btw. Then 20 minutes passed? Then everyone suddenly rushed out to the street near bus terminals. Some passengers were hailing taxis. The rest of four hundreds just piled along the street. And in the end, we arrived 15 minutes post departure time. To which 200 passengers have not yet returned to the ship. And later it was announced that the ship departure time will be delayed for 3 hours and the stranded passengers being picked up by NCL bus. A good gesture from NCL. But quite late for us. Read Less

You have to pay to take a shuttle to the train station, then it's a 1 hour train with many stops to Stockholm. Stops are not marked and subway very confusing we never had problems like we did here.

We did not care for Stockholm, big city, tons of traffic. We took the hop on hop off bus from port, you can also walk into town. The bus was stuck in traffic most the time, so we ended up walking.

Very disappointed that we couldn't dock in Stockholm. Not happy having to pay $100/couple for a 75 minute bus ride. Rather chaotic leaving Stockholm as well. Place where buses dropped us off and picked us up (The Opera House) was too busy. Wish they would have dropped us off at the Port where we were supposed to have docked. This would have helped us connect with the tours we signed up for. Read Less

It was Stockholm annual biggest holiday! Plus the weather didn't help, rain, very windy and gloomy. Thank goodness, we had been and done Stockholm before, and at its best!

We were disappointed in this port. We had not realized that it was an hour and half train ride both ways to Stockholm. Nynasham was a quaint port town and we were told that this was the first time HAL had docked there. I could not go ashore, because the steps were too steep to the tender. Husband and daughter went and enjoyed the ONE Hop on Hop Off bus. They also brought back some magnificent pastries. Read Less

NCL did not have berthing privileges in town. Disembarkation was by tender, followed by a long walk to the station, and a one hour train ride to town. To make it even more difficult NCL gave priority to those with their own excursions for disembarkation. In Old Town, the crowds were cumbersome and made getting around difficult. The time available was too limited to see much. This was made worse by the difficulties made the NCL docking arrangements. Read Less

We tendered in Nynashamn, an hour away from Stockholm. Nothing to do but take the NCL tour. The city was very crowded (I had heard many cruise ships were in, thus we had to dock far away). Be careful of ports far away from the actual city you want to visit- expensive and time consuming to get there. Because we didn't like the tour it left a bad impression of the city on us. Very crowded, so it was hard for the bus to navigate. The 3 hours free time turned out to be just barely enough time to get some lunch and visit 1 or 2 junk stores. Read Less

Because of the poor NCL tour--we spent a long time waiting in line at VASSA and was shorted time at the end. This event impacted the day. Vassa Museum is very nice if you have the right time to view it properly. The 20 minutes we were given was not enough. We didn't get to the Nobel Museum--which was partially our fault. We did see the Palace and the changing of the guide--which was nice. Walking along the pedestrian street was also nice. Stockholm is the most expensive city we visited. Read Less

Should have been a higher rating, Stockholm appeared to be a great city. Problem was we took the ships "A day in Stockholm" tour. Was on and off a bus all day, lunch was not included. The guide did not use a radio system, why with today's technology would you not. If anyone from Celebrity reads this please make it a requirement that your tours use tour radio's, they would have made this tour rating a four. From discussions who did Stockholm on their own that is the way to go, use the HO-HO bus. The Vasa Museum is a must see. Read Less

Went to ice bar, what a rip-off. Did not think to much of the tour. Too much of where the famous people lived rather than the history of the city. Found that most of the guided tours offered by Celebrity were not that great.
