We did our own trip. Took a cab to Red hook and took the ferry to St John's and Trunk Bay beach. Bring cash for the cab's but the ferry and beach entrance take CC. The beach was beautiful and getting back and forth was very easy. I just wish we got into St Thomas earlier ...

The Royal Caribbean excursion was really nice because we were able to visit the Mountain Top, Meghan's Bay Beach and do some shopping in the downtown area as well. That trip was well put together and we were able to get a good view of the island. ...
