Long walk from the ship to a little shopping area and where the excursions meet. The beach where the planes fly over very low is not a beach I would recommend staying long. It’s fun to see it but it’s loud, smells of jet fuel and when the planes take off rear a sandblast effect which can hurt your skin and get in your eyes. ...

St Maartin We booked a beach break at Cocky Turtle Beach in Simpson Bay. The beach was beautiful but the weather poor with high winds and heavy torrential showers. We made the most of it though, but on return we did not look around the shops in the port area as we needed to warm up. (seriously).
