Carambola Beach on our own. Nice beach area with clear water and small fish close to shore. Despite telling us they had beach service for drinks or food, no one ever came by. My husband went to the bar at 11 (opening time) and found the service surly at best. We left early and went back to the ship to enjoy cocktails there. Small cheap umbrellas gave shade for 1 1/2 of our chairs, not made for two chairs. I expected better so will look for another beach in the future. Read Less

Loved every bit of it. Tour guides on bus and train were equally informative. Learned a lot about St. Kitts and the now-defunct sugar industry on the island. Rum punch was yummy.

Excellent. Well worth it and the people are very friendly. St Kitts is the friendliest of all the islands.

We did an independent small group excursion that took in the fort and a batik factory. There was a stop a a local beach as well which had a nice restaurant, land lounge chairs to rent.

We took the Fan Ta Sea 6-hour catamaran excursion. Because we were combined with another Celebrity ship that had to leave earlier than we did, this became a five hour excursion. We shared this with the shore excursion desk and they refunded us 20%, which was a fair resolution. The snorkeling was OK (about 40 minutes in the water). Most of the 5 hour trip was spent getting to the snorkeling area, getting on over to Nevis, and on the Nevis beach. It was fun, but we would have preferred an excursion with more time actually snorkeling. Read Less

Van ride with ten people in a small space. We were let out twice to stretch in three hours. Saw a fort (very good) and lots of island residents lounging about on porches drinking.

We had booked a beach day on Nevis, and boarded a smaller boat shortly after 10 a.m. But the boat had engine trouble, and we had to return to port. Of course this was disappointing, but out of everyone's control, so we re-boarded the ship to see if we could book another short excursion. The only thing available that hadn't already left was the scenic railway, and it was a pleasant tour of the island with drinks included. I certainly don't feel like I need to visit St. Kitts again, but would welcome to chance to go to Nevis one day. Read Less

First time to St. Kitts so we booked a bus tour with a stop at the old fort. Tour was good and the driver was informative and considerate. I prefer a bus tour as you often see the the real culture not just what is polished up for the tourists. Lovely island and people were friendly. Interesting comparison as one side of the island is somewhat untouched but the other side is being developed for tourism with full amenities. Read Less
