We were originally thinking of going to Nevis but we weren't sure if we had enough time. We took a taxi to Cockleshell Beach. On most islands, they ask you where you want to go and put you in groups - most of the taxis are actually vans or buses and they like to get as many people in as possible because they charge by the person. Every taxi and tour stops on the top of the hill so you can take picture of the beautiful scenery and the monkeys. I think we were actually on Reggae Beach but it's right next to it. We rented a jet ski for 30 minutes which was really fun. The water was great but not for snorkeling. I found out that the boats there will take you to Nevis for $25 a person or $20 for 4 or more. Maybe next time, we will try and find others who want to go. Our taxi picked us up at 2:30 and took us back to the ship. We walked around downtown but it was a little scary so we didn't stay long. Did the Segway tour with Lucian Style. They accommodated us very well and made the event very special for our 9-year old who chose this particular event.

Walked past tourist shops, and walked to Independence Park (I believe that was the Paris name).

Took a tour of St. Kitt's with a vendor in town named Neal, he ran an open air tram car and it was a great tour of many sights of St. Kitts.

We spent the day at Cockleshell Beach on the southern end of the island. Took around 20 to 30 minutes in a shared taxi we had to arrange our return with the driver. This seems to be a theme at most of the ports of call we’ve been to. At one point you come to the top of a hill where you can look down to the narrow stretch of land with the Atlantic on one side and the Caribbean on the other. It is quite scenic. There are a number of places on the beach from which you can rent chairs and umbrellas and order food and drinks. Prior to our cruise, I had shortlisted the following three places; The Lion Beach Bar and Grill, The Reggae Beach Bar and Grill and Mundo Water Sports. The first two are more developed and have bathrooms with plumbing and are located at opposite ends of the beach. The last one is more of a large shack near Reggae. In the end we went with the Reggae Beach Bar and Grill. The setup is really nice and there is a lot of natural shade there as well. Chairs were $5 each. We didn’t bother getting an umbrella because we were right under a tree. Service from the bar/kitchen was pretty fast and you can open a tab and pay with your credit card (we used Mastercard) Read Less
