One of our favorite places. We went to Cockleshell beach. Really great drive there, to see the ocean, the rough nature. Very beautiful. The beach itself was very cosy. In general: The people on all islands are extremely kind and friendly. Also the hassling / beach vendors is minimal (we have seen very different in e.g. India/Indonesia). The prices for e.g. souvenirs are a bit on the high side. Read Less

St-Kitts: Got a taxi and went to South Frigate Bay. Very unique, very fine mix of volcanic sand and white sand, the view was beautiful. The drinks were not expensive there (got 6 Caribe beer for 10US), we ate at the Ziggy's bar and had the grilled chicken nachos and I think it's the best that we ate in our lives! Locals were present but very friendly. Got 2 chairs + 1 umbrella for 8$. We spent the whole day there and went back to the ship in taxi (same guy as when we came, we told him when we wanted to come back and was on time). Read Less

The name of the bar is shipwreck. It is a small beach that is on the other side of the mountains. Our cab driver Austin stopped and took pictures of us on the top and gave us a run down of what was around. When we got to the beach it was down a dirt road, and the bar was a little shack with a thatched roof, and great prices. My idea of absolute paradise. The Snorkeling even better than Dominica. The reef is a foot from the beach and there was plenty to see. It was absolutely perfect. Whenever it gets too cold and work gets really bad, it has become my happy place. Once again, all i did was ask the cab driver where do you suggest, they love their homes and want you to enjoy yourself. Read Less

St. Kitts-We walked off the ship and signed up for a taxi tour with Rose and Tim's Taxis. He is a friend of Grey's Island Excursions. Tim gave us a great tour of the island for $20per person plus $8.00 entry fee to go up to Brimstone Fort. Well worth the $8 entry fee. The view is incredible. You can book ahead for Tim's tour. There really weren't any wonderful beaches like the other islands. Read Less

I had booked a tour with Thenford Grey Tours over the Internet for $40.00 each for a 3 hr tour and 1 hour of swimming. Again ...Thenford had great communication with me before the cruise...very professional..greeted us right off the boat and into his nice air conditioned van with big viewing windows. We stopped for pictures with a little monkey, then went to the Batik Studio for a demonstration and shopping, walked thru the botanical gardens..he pointed out many plants to us...very informative... went up to Brimstine Fortress - 800 feet above sea level and we spent plenty of time there..drove all over the island and ended up at Cockleshell beach for an hour swim. Nice bar and restaurant..Wilbur the Pig is still there...aagin I would highly recommend Thenford Grey Tours...fantastic! Read Less

At this stop we did a tour with Royston Island Tours. This trip was excellent! Royston met us when we got off the ship where we headed for his van and started the tour through the town and then out on the country side around the island. We stopped at a Batik shop to see a demonstration and then went to Fort Brimstone. After we drove to where Royston kept his 4X4 Jeep which he took up a mountain path where we got a great view of the island and the rain forest. We then got back in the van and toured the rest of the spots on the island and had lunch at one of the beaches. After lunch we went snorkeling for a while and then headed back to the ship. The tour covered pretty much the entire island..it is pretty much a custom tour with Royston taking you wherever you want to go so it is a great way to see the island at your own pace. I highly recommend the Royston tour for this stop. Read Less

Very cheap tour with lots of sights around the island followed by Frigate Beach. The beach is not the reason to go to St.Kitts, but the tour was excellent.
