Excellent port, with everything walkable. Did the hike excursion down signal hill. Only the very fit should attempt this as guide runs down . For the cautious due to loose rocks and very steep terrain it will take 2 hours. Loved the churches and cathedral all free. Best port for souvenirs and restaurants. ...

Just ok - we did our own thing, walking around and having lunch before stopping off at a few microbreweries as we made our way back to the ship. St John's has a few areas which are quite rundown though - and some very dodgy bars !! ...

From there, follow the North Head trail down - but be aware that there were portions that were tricky - down along the coast. The views are spectacular. ...

Docked at Pier 10. Most shops and pubs are within the first three blocks away from the ship. We walked to the Quidi Vidi Brewery. It was a long 45 minutes walk through the suburbs. Nice to have a beer made with water from an iceberg, but not sure it was worth the time to get there. Signal Hill was encased in low clouds all day so there was no point in climbing up for a view. One odd thing was ...

Walked the trail to Signal Hill which clings to the harbor side entrance like I did 10 years ago. Why was it so much harder? Ten years is why. Went to the Rooms Museum as well as walking the central city. I like St John's ...
