The rain was tough to deal with. My husband does like to go out of his comfort zone. I stopped at the Marriott, Courtyard in St. John's to get a taxi. They were very helpful! We went up to Signal Hill. The rain was coming down with so much wind. We walked down to the Visitor Center and Chocolate Cafe to dry off and have some hot chocolate. They did not have hot chocolate! Supply did not come in. ...

St. John’s – in the busy harbour of St. John’s it is always interesting just to sit and watch the ship movements. St. John’s is very hilly, so we took a taxi up to The Rooms. This is an enormous museum and art gallery complex and is well worth a visit, but we think you would probably need two days at least to see all of it. A visiting Newfoundland dog made friends with passengers on the quayside. ...

Always want to visit NFLD. The tour guide and bus ride and visiting the most easterly part of Canada added to the historical value the tour seemed to provide. ...

Excellent stop - such a cute downtown & dock was right in the heart of it. Got a free walking tour at the Courthouse from Amber at Come from Away. Great pubs, beer, ice cream & shopping right on the main drag. Very enjoyable! ...

This is my all-time favorite port of all time!!!!! We loved the people, and the close proximity to town, the entertainment on the quay, and everything about it. The cherry on the St. John's sundae was all the people waving as the ship left port. Truly an amazing and welcoming place. ...

Again, not enough time to enjoy this port as quite a lot to see and do. Unfortunately no cruise terminal but a very easy walk into the town. Beautiful cathedral of St. John the Baptist on the top of the hill. Lovely sailing out through the very narrow channel. ...

St. John's is one of our favorite cruise ports. The ship docks right on the downtown waterfront, so it's easy to walk into town for the shops and restaurants along waterfront, and all the beautiful old colored wooden houses on the hills behind. It's definitely worthwhile climbing the hills to see these! We also walked over to the harbourfront Battery neighborhood. It's very picturesque old ...
