Feels like the côte d'azur, monaco. Splendid views from the fort over the harbour. Luxurious shopping streets. Great vibe.

Walked around the town. Very expensive, upscale shops. Fun to see the hugh yachts in the harbor.

There is not a lot to see but the port is very pretty with lots of shops and restaurants although everything is very expensive. Friends who did the catamaran sailing say it was great.

Hired a car in advance and picked it up from the Airport. Drove to a coastal path we had seen on the map and walked for a while until we got to a secluded beach. Too rough to swim as myself and another guy found out when we were swept off our feet and onto the rocks! Bruises aside, was a good trip and found lots of wildlife including a tortoise! Drove around the rest of the Island and could see the repair work going on after the hurricane damage. Not much to see in the main town except the short walk to shell beach. Read Less

This was a beautiful island with crystal clear water and white powdery sand. We rented a car for the day (50 Euros) and just drove around to various beaches. The roads weren't in great shape and the signage was difficult to follow, but the destinations were worth the effort. The highlight was St. Jean Beach and the Eden Rock Hotel. Read Less

Downtown area was really nice. We rented a car and drove all over the island for a couple of hours. Don't rent a scooter...the streets are narrow and it's very hilly and unsafe.

We took the tender into the port, Gustavia, and then walked around & explored the town on our own. Afterwards we walked to Shell Beach, a pleasant 10-15 minute walk. As the name implies, Shell Beach is a great place if you like beachcombing for shells. Also did some snorkeling while there to keep myself busy. On the way back into town stopped at Le Gustav for a drink, while looking out over the marina and harbour. A lovely day.... Read Less

Nice! Easy stroll to a little museum and war memorial, and shell beach is right nearby, too. Wear your beach shoes. High end shops were closed on our Sunday visit.

Very expensive shops and restaurants. She'll Beach is very easy to walk to and very nice, but no sun beds or umbrellas. Need to take a towel that sit on.
