The Klondike Gold story is quite an adventure, I can't imagine those prospectors trying to haul one year's worth of supplies up the golden ice steps! Check out the Soapy Smith Saloon - it only takes 20 minutes and is entertaining!
The shore excursions through the HAL cruise indicated not wheelchair friendly for the train up White Pass. This is NOT the case - at the ticket office they said ...
We wished to ride on the green train over the White Pass area. Was great but would have liked to get off at least one area to take more pictures. More narration would of been nice, or acting on train. Have been on other trains. ...
Probably the best port, so much to do from here. The White Pass railroad and Yukon excursion was a lot of fun, and included the summer dog mushing for a small additional fee. Worth it, also enjoyed visiting Carcross, YT. ...
I was not impressed with the port itself but had lunch at the Skagway Fish Company. Service was great and go for the trio with Halibut, Salmon and Shrimp. Ask for a side of gravy for the fries! ...

They looked ...
This is a tiny little town that is very easily walkable if you take one of the smart buses into town. It’s only three dollars each way and they pick you up right at the port. I highly recommend that. We did book an excursion into the Yukon via a small company on TripAdvisor and it was a gorgeous bus ride up to CarCross and Emerald Lake with several stops along the way for photos. I’m glad we did ...
