87 Skagen Cruise Reviews

The town of Skagen is within an easy 10 to 15 minute walk. Our visit was made better with a local Folk Music festival occurring during our visit, otherwise it's really just a shopping stop with not much of a saving over UK prices.

Loved this port. Went to Grennen where the Baltic Sea meets the North Sea, stunning beaches. We also saw the buried church/tower, which was interesting. Then we walked around the city. Very small and extremely pretty and clean.

A pretty, small town on the water. Reminded me of Cape Cod. Nice walking tour and short visit into town.

A lovely port but not what we expected as it seemed purpose built - it was very lively as there was a music festival going on which was fun.

Didn’t understand why we were stopping here but what a great wee place. We saw it in the sunshine with a music festival going on so that made it very eclectic and fun. We took the trip to the Atlantic wall, which was so informative and peaceful, as we were the only coach trip, which made a really pleasant change. This trip does have a lot of steps so beware if you’re not too agile but the museum was lovely. A Danish military band played us out of harbour which was really sweet. Read Less

This was a highlight of the trip, as we had a whole day to just take it easy and explore the little town and its surroundings. The weather was great and we enjoyed a nice lunch at a little restaurant called "Dit Smorrebrod" - they served up the best fish cakes ever. Loved popping into the quaint shops for a 'look see' and to do some last minute souvenir shopping. Read Less

We took the Royal Excursion in Skagen. (Pronounced skaen, in Denmark the g is silent.) We learned that on our excursion. We toured the countryside and were given a great history of the area. We went to the farthest north point for a view. I had wanted to ride out to the point where the NorthSea meets the Baltic, but we just got to look at it. No time to ride out there. I enjoyed the tour anyway. Read Less

Not much to do but OK since our last stop and we were getting pretty tired from going. The tip of Denmark where the Baltic and North Seas meet was spectacularly wild and scenic - would definitely recommend.

Skagen is quaint and clean, but there isn't much there. I found myself asking "is it worth going ashore?" I read somewhere that Skagen is the second most visited port in Denmark, which having been there I have to wonder why?

We rented bikes right next to the ship and cycled to the tip of the peninsula then walked the beach to where the North and Baltic Seas meet. It was raining and cold, but still fun.
