We walked in our own all morning and had a great time (shopped, ate, enjoyed). Then we went to the further sites on a tour in the afternoon (sand church, which was underwhelming, and the peninsula point where the Baltic and North Sea meet, loved that part a lot, including the old WWII bunkers). This is a small port town. They happened to be having a music festival which was awesome. We went into town with my aunt with mobility issues and she had a nice time. There places she could sit and rest although the cobblestones were difficult. My husband and I walked over to the beach and saw the point between the North and Baltic seas from a distance. Excellent. This tour was organised by the cruise ship and involved a trip to some of the notable sights around Skagen. Our guide was informative and helpful. We liked everything but especially the trip to the drifting sand dune and the coast where the North Sea and Baltic meet.
