Sitka is beautiful! We made a short stop at the Russian Bishop's House but did not take the guided half hour tour. We visited the Sitka Sound Center and had a blast exploring the touch tanks. Possible to walk most places after shuttle downtown from ship. We walked through the National Forest and then to the Raptor Center. Great information and beautiful birds up close. Some folks took advantage of the low tides and walked out and played with the shoreline. Bear repair facility also accessible without doing a ship excursion. I prefer birds to bears, so didn't take the five mile trek. ...
