Never again

Review for a Asia Cruise on Costa Fortuna

Went on Costa Fortuna for about 2 weeks (2 adults 2 children) just came back. We have great things to say about the staff in restaurants, buffet and room service. The food was good and catered for food allergies. Although that’s it for the positives the rest was terrible. Spa manager was very rude, not all the gym classes booked online are available on ship. Took 6 attempts to get refunded. Kids ...

God what an experience... my wife and I love cruising and we have been on most cruise lines throughout the world. Last time we were on Princess 10 years ago and let me tell you....it was a great decision not to be on it for so long. Wish we didn’t cruise with them this time, but oh well... There are many other good quality cruise lines where food doesn’t taste like it has been on a steam table of ...

DON'T DO IT.

I was really excited to go on this cruise ship, as it was going to Thailand and Cambodia and starting at Singapore. It was for an affordable price and it was going to Asia, so why not! First off, the food was beyond horrible, and that’s an understatement. I’ve been on around 10 cruises and I know what good food tastes like on cruises, so when comparing it to other cruises, this one was at the very ...

2 weeks sailing from Singapore 17/12/19 to 30/12/19. Paid extra over Christmas (nearly $5000 AUD. And so it went as follows: Air conditioning not working in cabin. No soap in cabin..had to ask for a $5000 cake of soap. mediocre room cleaning. No clean sheets for 2 weeks. Evacuation drill was a confused mess with no communication or guidance from staff. No help from staff to put on life vests as ...

I chose this cruise because it was advertised so well, sounded fantastic and went to places we had not been. It was really disappointing on our second night at first seating for dinner I found a hair in my dessert, I received no apology, never heard if anything was said or done about this apart from being given another dessert, which I did not eat. The food in the buffet was always the same, no ...

My wife and I booked a back to back cruise around South East Asia with Costa for their cheap balcony pricing and attractive port itinerary. We read a lot of mediocre at best reviews of Costa and decided to give them a chance in hopes we would have good luck. Upon arrival to Singapore we were immediately upset with the logistics of the cruise line. We stood in line for two hours to embark only to ...

Carnival Splendor - Chaos from start to finish

Review for a Asia Cruise on Carnival Splendor

I had sailed on the Splendor in 2013 from Santiago to Buenos Aires. It was wonderful. When I heard that the Splendor was being repositioned from Singapore to Sydney, I was really looking forward cruise. The cruise had to be booked through the Australian department but that meant finding the 800 number. But it was a disaster from start to finish. Carnival has two departments - the US and ...

I chose this so called ‘expedition’ cruise mainly for the Orangutan encounter in Tanjung Puting in Kalimantan. Well, because of the total incompetence of the ‘Expedition Team’ we never got there. The expedition guide totally miscalculated the bearings and took us for one and a half hour, over a very bumpy sea, in totally the wrong direction. How this happened is an enigma to me, as he has already ...

I choose this cruise as the Splendor was in dry dock in Singapore before relocating to Australia and thought that the itinerary would suit my wife and myself . How wrong was I . Embarkation was a disaster . The check in people didn't open the desks for nearly 2 hrs after they were supposed to and then there was a stampede of people all trying to get on board at the same time . They should have ...

Tiniest room we have ever had on a cruise 7416. cannot pass each other. if your in your wardrobe beware of toilet door knocking you out. we have come from NZ to join her for the repositioning to Sydney. Well got off 1 1/2 hours late but that was ok rooms were ready cases there by the time we ...
