We did a Chef Market Discovery excursion in Cadiz and it was disappointing. Much of what was in the description of the tour did not happen. The market was disappointing (particularly when compared to the Mercat de la Boqueria in Barcelona). Wish we had just wandered into Cadiz (which is easy to do from the port) and explored on our own. (However, we did raise our concerns to Shore Excursions and ...
We didn't feel like we had enough time to go to Seville and make it worth our while. Cadiz had plenty to offer and was another favorite port. The cruise terminal had free wifi. We were able to walk off the ship and straight into the city. We walked through the narrow streets of the old part of the city stumbling upon square after square and hidden churches. We walked along the waterfront and ...
1st visit to this port - hopefully won't be the last. It may be the favorite of the cruise. Not a short drive, but the Alcazar was worth it; incredible architecture and beautiful countryside. ...
We took a NCL tour to Seville. Long bus ride and the tour guide was difficult to understand. When we got to Seville we had to break up into smaller groups and there was confusion as to where to go and when to meet up again. Yet , we all figured it out. We didn't visit the church, and walked around the city. The Plaza is neat to see. ...
The ship docks in Cadiz, a delightful city. We loved wandering around the narrow, shaded streets leading off from the main square. Once again we got a hop on hop off bus which gave us a lovely view of the surrounding area. We got off in the Playa Victoria beach area and had lunch. Definitely somewhere we would want to return to. ...
Again we went to the less common towns/artists and forests and just loved it. Those who went into Seville said it was hot and not worth the time getting there. ...
We took a tour of Cadiz and it was awful. We noticed fellow passengers fell asleep on the bus during the tour. The guide was repetitive and seemed to lack basic knowledge. It ended early, so she had us take a lengthy "photo op" stop at a random place in order to ensure the excursion would return to the port at the correct time. Some passengers chose to return to the ship on their own at that ...
