This was a rebooking due to COVID cancellations going back to 2020. The cruise was one of quite a few Costa cruises that we have previously enjoyed.
Our booking included a Bus transfer, Flight Transfer and return Flight, Health Insurance, Flight, as well as My Drinks package
The bus transfer to Savona was comfortable, uneventful and arrived on time.
Boarding was quick, as all formalities ...
The cruise was alright. A rather basic operation, no luxury or frills. For example there is no coffee offered with your evening meal, no tap or iced water is available in the restaurant, the food was very mass catering - unmemorable, fairly tasteless and ofter tepid.
The worst part for a solo English speaking passenger was the loneliness of dining either alone or at a table of non English ...
Overall a good experience, however, our cabin 6270 was placed right above the 4D cinema, it resulted in a noise-level over over 90 dB in the cabin, and a vibrating floor.
Please read the full cabin-review below.
We did the Mediteranian tour from Savona-Marseilles-Barcelone-Mallorca-Rome and La Spezia
Marseilles is a dump, I do not understand why it's part of any cruise, it's a city which ...
Having cruised with MSC, Norwegian, Carnival and Royal Caribbean before plus one time with Costa, I can hardly be categorized as loyal to any particular cruise line. To me, any cruise is a good cruise and I always try to find the perfect match of itinerary and value for money.
This Costa cruise included a number of interesting ports such as Tangier and Casablanca where we participated in ...
We chose this voyage because the timing allowed us to complete an earlier Princess cruise; spend a week driving the northern lake region of Italy; pick up this cruise, and then put us in position to cruise back to the States. (We were celebrating our 60th anniversary/80th birthdays...while we both were still standing.) We've traveled Costa previously.
Costa Cruise Line may not be for everyone; ...

We like very much to dance during our journeys. That`s why we expected to enjoy of much international social dancing with good evergreen dance hits. Instead we had to follow presentations of experienced dancers, who took part in everyday dance lessons. Music was performed by a duo and young dj`s. Most of the music was replays of the music played during the dance lessons including not so familiar ...
We were really looking forward to this cruise, especially since we took Costa for our honeymoon in 2012. Some things have changed, sadly not for the better. While overall it was a good trip, Costa is slipping. Some highlights: even though we paid for the Piu' Gusto drinks package, we found upon arrival that it wasn't on our Costa cards (which were conveniently placed on our bed). So after a phone ...
Embarkation and disembarkation - Fast and efficient.
Gym - Antiquated equipment. Much of it should be replaced.
Entertainment - In the theater...I only went to the shows where the ship's singers/dancers performed and the crew talent show. For the most part, the singer/dancers were pretty good. However, they only performed to pre recorded music. There was never a live band at their ...
Flew to Nice from Liverpool to pick up pre arranged transport to Savona. No rep available and had to find our own way to find many people with Costa luggage tags all waiting for coaches. Eventually found a rep who told us we were on number 13. Had a long wait for it to turn up. Embarkation in Savona was more orderly. Queued to get photo taken but straight to cabin which had key cards in. Had ...
