Much of my rating for this port is related to the weather. It started to pour hard as soon as our tender arrived at the port. We spent 30 minutes in the terminal waiting for the rain to stop or at least change to showers but it continued to rain for over an hour. We braved the rain and walked along the seaside. There is not much to do in Sarande however we had a pleasant afternoon at the beach and using in a bar along the beach front. There are a lot of beggars especially children so that is difficult to see. Food and drink is very cheap ...

Next stop was Sarande, Albania. I was a bit nervous about this port after reading the reviews. We were tendered in, which was the easiest tender we have ever had, although we waited til the main rush was past. Went on riviera tour. Long bus ride to nowhere. Waterfalls was one behind a restaurant. Stopped at a town to shop and guide states stores are closed for siesta. Why did you bring us there to shop at closed stores. Stopped at a castle. Long uphill rocky walk but nice site. Only good thing on tour Then long bus ride home. ...
