we were so pleasantly surprised buy Cub's second largest city. we got there at 5:00 and we walked right off the ship and took a walk around the main square and pedestrian shopping street. the next day we chose Shago tours(trip advisor) - and the lovely Fabio took us everywhere. The highlight was the cemetery where Castro is buried. they had the most AMAZING changing of the guards(every half and hour). Highly recommended! Read Less

Our call in this port was cancelled due to high winds and waves. Safety first. We were okay with another sea day.

Heard some stories that some cruise members were approched. No one was harmed. The send off leaving Santiago was not to be missed. Saw all that from the our balcony. Music and waves from the lovely Cuban people.

Poor town, gift shops have been picked over by other cruise ship guests no t-shirts or anejo rum or decent cigars. Cigars inflated prices. Buy your goods in Cienfuegos cheaper than Havana

Interesting City with a lot of Revolution History. Some beautiful architecture in the Plaza areas. An interesting drive to the Church in the mountains, with some great landscape full of Palm Trees.

2nd biggest city in Cuba. Not much to do in town. Shopping is limited and not much to buy anyway. We heard the excursion to the fort outside the city was the main attraction. We took a taxi to the National Cemetery and saw Fidel's grave, memorial to Jose Marti and watched the changing of the guard at the top of the hour. Then ate lunch at a rooftop paladar before heading back to the ship. Read Less

RCCL told us dock was not yet completed. They must have known this far in advance as they had enough time to get us into Key West. Not acceptable.

Probably the most prosperous city of the three we visited. More buildings restored, or at least painted on the outside, to show off the architecture. Thomas Terry Theater from 1800's, buildings around city center.

No excursion was available, but we toured via bus and a small walking tour of the city center. We walked through the fortress Castillo de San Pedro de la Roca, and saw a dance production in the center, which was very good. We were able to walk down the main shopping boulevard but had to remain with our group, which was frustrating. Touring by bus is difficult, and I was grateful each time we had an opportunity to get off. Read Less
