Rated it high because we love Santa Barbara, met my cousin for lunch. Highly recommend the Clearwater Grill. Oysters on the half shell, fresh sea urchin, chowders, pastas, great drinks, great people watching from terrace.

Beautiful place to walk around in. The Court House was interesting to visit. We did not take a tour because there was not much time in Santa Barbara.

A beautiful city with lovely beaches, many opportunities for water-related activities. Great shopping and restaurants along the main strip called State Street. It's very easy to explore downtown Santa Barbara by foot.

It's a tender stop which is always a pain. And this was a long tender to get to and from the ship/dock. We took an excursion, to Solvang. Cost $98/pp and is not worth it to go to a rip off, tourist town. I highly recommend you not

I did the ship's Solvang Tour. It was alright. I wouldn't do it again. I thought I was going to see a Dutch town and all it is are a bunch a touristy stores, selling souvenirs.

Santa Barbara is a lovely community with mostly mild warm weather. We chose the trolley ride which gave us an overview of the town.

In Santa Barbara we tendered into the marina. One of the tenders lives just under the balcony of our mini suite D608 so we woke up to it being lowered into the water on winches. We’re pretty good natured about that kind of thing because we’re on a ship. And happy to be going into Santa Barbara. The tenders have an open upper deck, which I like more than being squeezed into the hold. Once ashore we took one of the new electric city busses as far up State Street as they would take us, which cost 50 cents. From there we took a leisurely stroll thru some lovely upscale neighborhoods to the mission. We took an Uber back from the mission to the middle of State for $8 and had tacos and margaritas at Sand Bar. Then on to wine tasting in the Funk Zone, which is the newly revitalized industrial area of lower State nearest the ship. Read Less
