The excursion we took, (to see a an active volcano at a national park) was excellent. We quite enjoyed ourselves. However, even though the tour bus accommodations were fine, the drive through the rest of the countryside was pretty 3rd world and depressing. Plus we really did not feel greatly safe, esp. with all the police we saw running around with automatic weapons at the ready. ...
