Woke up pre-sunrise to watch our arrival under the Golden Gate Bridge. Exited the ship and walked an insane number of steps and stairs around to Coit Tower, Washington Square Park, Chinatown, Cable Car Museum, and Wells Fargo Museum. Lunch - On shore - Wayfare Tavern (Tyler Florence’s restaurant) - We both had the fried chicken sandwich. Took Lyft to tiki bars Smuggler’s Cove and Pagan Idol. ...

Always a great city. The touristy areas on the Embarcadero and Fisherman's Wharf are fun, but there's much more to see. We took a bus tour and saw many of the classic sights of San Francisco, including a really nice stop on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge looking back at the city, which made for some very nice photos. The tour carefully avoided the trashed-out homeless areas we have seen on the news, and perhaps due to this we missed the chance to take Mom around to some of the areas we had most enjoyed on ...

We spent two full days in San Francisco. Just the incredible views of San Francisco at dawn coming from under the Golden Gate Bridge, and again leaving after dark, were worth the cost of the cruise. On our first day we took a shore excursion to Sonoma and on the second an excursion to Muir Woods; both were wonderful. ...
