This stop was removed from the Itinerary and was replaced with Bimini Bahamas. Bimini was great. Unfortunately they suffered a lot of damage from the hurricanes last year, but islanders are by far the friendliest people that we've encountered at a Bahamas Island. Food is amazing. I did not enjoy my time in Roatan very much. As soon as you leave the port you are met by dozens of taxi drivers and "tour guides" who will not take no for an answer. One of these tour guides followed me and "showed me the island" for several blocks until I finally thanked him and gave him $5. The island is very dirty with stray dogs running around everywhere. Sadly this port is littered with garbage to include the coastline. Expect to see starving diseased dogs, trash and overall a very depressed area. ...
