My 2nd ever cruise and first on a so-called Prestige Line ship.
Voyager as a ship was tired and clearly in need of refurbishment. TV swung from side to side even on a moderate swell giving sleepless nights. Balcony door wouldn't lock. The so-called exclusive toiliteries (shampoo and soap) were of a quality found in cheap motels forcing us to buy from the Spa Shop.

Regent was rated in top 3 luxury liner but this trip was a disaster! Shows were at low standards,no variety,repeat artists,activities were minimal, staff was under trained even though they did the best they could and the worst of all was the excursions were way below of what a luxury cruiser would provide-many ports of call were cancelled and ended up with more than half the cruise at sea!!

I will start by acknowledging that most of the issues we experienced would not have occurred if I was traveling solo or with just my wife. But traveling with our five children, ages 6-21, caused many issues.

It is hard to compared cruise companies, especially if the itineraries are quite different, but it seems that comparisons between SilverSeas and Regent Seven Seas makes sense. We chose Oceania because of friends recommendations. We have been on over a dozen other cruise ships and this was by far the most disappointing experience.
For a concierge level room compared to similar class on other ships, this was well below average. The concierge lounge was sparse and the appetizers snacks were the same every day.

The customer is given the opportunity and often pays extra to choose a balcony cabin or similar, only that MSC cannot be bothered to log the details and given a random cabin, yes we are in the computer age.
