Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Explora I

The ship is beautiful, but there are serious design and other operational problems. The stateroom is large and very beautiful. Whatever kind of bedding you need, they will change you to a queen bed or 2 single beds, by moving in new mattresses. The heated bathroom floor is wonderful, but the shower design is insane, It’s impossible to shower without water flooding your bathroom, so I had to put ...

Enjoy NCL overall, but Prima is not the ship for me

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

My review would actually be a 3.5. I wanted to love the Prima. At first glance, it's a really pretty ship, very different from the other NCL ships ( in the last 12 months, I've sailed on Jade, Breakaway and Joy). Contemporary, fresh and bright. Staterooms were nice, large and great storage. On paper had a lot of great venues, Waterfront, go-cart, drop slides. But unfortunately I won't ...

THE GOOD NEWS AND THE BAD NEWS

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

Good news: 10 day cruise; Iceland, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium. Balcony on starboard mid ships, 10th deck. As one would expect - nice, clean, new. Bath was roomy for a cruise ship and the shower was LARGE. Water pressure barely ok. A/C fine. be fine. Don't expect big beside table on one side. Bed is a mite higher so large lugguge WILL fit underneath bed. If you are a magnet user (extra ...

Food needs improvement!

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Silver Moon

Overall we enjoyed this line but likely not enough to be repeat guests. Food was not 6 star quality, not enough variety. At the buffets, often it was overcooked. Wine was very good though. Entertainment ok. Not great. Didn't like the fact that in all but two of the dining venues you needed a reservation. This allows for no spontaneous food decisions. Also would prefer that the restaurants ...

Misleading information

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Seven Seas Splendor

Chose this cruise as wanting to do Iceland and everyday is a different port. However, once money paid, a sea day was miraculously introduced, with no explanation why one port was no longer part of the trip. one and a half day in Runavik with not much to do, so not sure why and the next port was cancelled due to bad weather (had we not stay in Runavik for 1.5 days we would have avoided the bad ...

Disappointing

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Celebrity Summit

Our cruise started off in Reykjavik, Iceland. Much of the info regarding this trip on the internet was wrong. Many writers said that to get from the airport to the center of Reykjavik was difficult. That was wrong. There are buses exclusively for transportation from the airport to the city center at approximately $30 pp. Others said that from the central bus stop to your hotel was an easy walk. ...

Beautiful ship, sub par food and beverages

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

The Iceland and Northern Europe cruise is wonderful, ports of call superb. The Prima is a beautiful ship, with lots of amenities for all ages. Sadly we were very disappointed with the food. After 4 days of the 10 day cruise they ran out of healthy breakfast cereal. It was difficult to find sources of fiber. Healthy food choices limited to non existent at the buffet . The Palomar specialty ...

We were on Insignia (Atlantic Glaciers and Harbors cruise) August 13-30, 2023 and are Bronze. Past sailings have been amazing and have always left me with wanting more. This cruise I was so disappointed that I am hoping it was a fluke and I have another cruise coming up within the month. But I am wondering if financial woes have taken the best of this cruise line. Most notable was the food. You ...

(Extreme) highs and (extreme) lows

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Explora I

Despite having been in operation for only two weeks the service on the brand new ship is excellent: Friendly, attentive and personalized. The Galley? Not so. They overcook fish and vegetables and their red meat is of inferior quality. “Inspired by the marbling found in only the finest beef, Marble & Co. Grill serves exceptional cuts, personally sourced and sustainably farmed.” - is how ...

New Nice Ship..Terrible Service

Review for a Arctic Cruise on Norwegian Prima

I have been in 6 NCL Cruises, all of them in The Haven Category, The Prima is a new ship, with a simple, clean, beach oriented decoration which personally I prefer than bright colors, the 2 room family Villa are nice, not as elegant but the guest room is bigger and nicer. Service the problem with the Prima is the service, all over the ship, from restaurants hostess to personal butler, very ...
