Wonderful ship and crew

Review for Viking Jupiter to Spain

Even with the covid restrictions and protocols this was a great cruise. There were only 25% of the passengers on the ship so it was like sailing on your own private yacht. Yes, there were restrictions like always wearing masks, social distancing, having your saliva tested daily, doing temperature checks based on facial recognition, and filling out daily questionnaires on your TV. Once we got ...

Too Much COVID Concerns to Enjoy the Cruise

Review for Viking Jupiter to Europe - Western Mediterranean

Chose this cruise because it had an inviting itinerary, with enough new ports to allow for self touring. Started in Reykjavik Iceland. The moment we checked in there was an intensity about COVID. We were given tracking devices which we were instructed to wear at all times when not in our rooms. They went out of their way to avoid calling them tracking devices. Once on board we were informed that ...

Endeavor Cruise 34 days from Reykjavik to Lisbon

Review for Crystal Endeavor to Baltic Sea

Very nice ship with an outstanding crew. Our trip was enjoyable but lacked much of what Crystal promoted about this new expedition ship. There were no helicopters, no submersible, underwater cameras were not in use and they were only experimenting with the gimbal camera. Almost all that the ship offered in terms of stops could have been completed on their larger ships at a much lower cost. Our ...

Iceland on Viking Sky

I love the fact there is no one under the age of 18 on these ships. Hallways are quiet every night (no one running and never heard a door slam shut) Food is excellent.. no surcharges for specialty restaurants. Entertainment is not flashy stage shows (I never go on the other lines anyway) The speakers have talks on what you are actually going to see and you learn about the geography and wildlife ...

First impressions were good, then….

Review for Le Champlain to Arctic

Having taken 25+ cruises, I was excited to try “luxury” Ponant Cruises for the first time. The newness of their ships and their “all included” luxury positioning was appealing. Upon boarding the ship, first impressions were strong - everything was clean, contemporary, and crisp. Solid cabin design, with separate compartment for the toilet and other thoughtful design elements. The quality ...

Iceland Natural Beauty cruise was amazing!

Review for Viking Jupiter to Europe - All

We had to jump through lots of hoops (apps, covid tests, proof of vaccination, etc) to get on this cruise, but it was worth it! This was our first Viking cruise, having cruised on Princess, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean in the past, and now we're pretty spoiled. The Jupiter was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The crew were so friendly and helpful (of course, it did help that there were only 640+ ...

A tale of two cruises

Review for Viking Sky to Baltic Sea

Iceland was rated a Stage 3 country right before we left for the cruise. We had Covid tests within 72 hrs of departure. We were tested daily and restricted from going off on our own. We wore masks in the public areas of the ship, on buses, and any time (which was rare) that we were indoors. We wore contact tracing lanyards everywhere we went. There were reminders of handwashing and sanitizing ...

Highly overrated

Review for Viking Sky to Baltic Sea

We chose to go on Viking because of the excellent rating they had and also the nice itinerary of the cruise. The ship itself is very beautiful in decor and layout. The staff were also some of the best have had on a cruise. However the cruise was one of the worst we have experienced. The day before we were to leave for the cruise the CDC downgraded Iceland from level 1 to level 3. The ...

An Amazing Cruise On Crystal Endeavor

OVERVIEW We sailed the third voyage of Endeavor which was a 10 day R/T Reykjavik, Iceland voyage commencing on August 6, 2021. Our overall experience was outstanding both on and off the ship. The ship and many of the itineraries combine an on-board luxury experience with an expedition experience off the ship as well as expedition related enrichment on-board such as the talks given by the ...

Magnificent Iceland

We wanted to see Iceland and this trip satisfied all of our longings. The ship held about 840 passengers and never felt crowded. A very classy trip with great staff, entertainment and dining. The daytime lectures were informative and extremely educational. The entertainers were Broadway quality. The room attendants were so attentive and professional especially in light of the fact that they ...
